If I sell PHYS and my husband sells GLDM would AEM and PSLV be considered to close to PHYS and GLDM by CRA for tax loss harvesting?

Invesco DB Commodity Index Tracking Fund (DBC)
Q: The current market turmoil has made me realize that a certain amount of commodities exposure as an "asset class" should help with portfolio diversification and therefore risk/return profile. Is this thinking correct? What options, if any, are available for the average retail investor to get broad commodity exposure w/o a lot of overhead which you would recommend?
Q: This is submitted for the benefit of other members. Reading it and watching what the federal government is doing starting by freezing bank accounts gives me great concern.

Q: Good morning,
PSLV has dropped a lot in the last month, even more then the price of silver. What is your view on it?
Thanks,
George

Q: What is the difference between these mint receipts and the sprott product? Does one have an advantage over the other? Since I already own PHYS from sprott for gold would it be better for me to own one of mint producrs for silver as better diversification? Finally, what is the difference between MNS and MNS.U?
Q: Yesterday, I asked you for recommendations in the silver space and you suggested two silver miners. Does that mean you don't think something like PSLV is a good investment?

Thanks
Jeff

Q: I watched a You Tube clip where a guest stated that SLV, SIL and PSLV were having difficulty obtaining physical silver. Can that be verified?
I would also like to know how much physical silver PSLV holds. Is that information available to the investing public?
Thank you

Q: Hello,
My question is not really about PSLV, but a gold equivalent for PSLV i.e. a physical delivery gold trust/ETF.
Are there any in Canada and US which you could recommend?
Thank you

Sprott Physical Silver Trust (PSLV)
Q: If I purchased any of these, are they subject to capital gains tax? If I wanted to redeem the physical silver in exchange for the shares, what would the charges be over the spot price? Does the share price follow the spot price dollar for dollar? Wouldn't mind having answers for any questions I haven't thought of.
Q: My question is related to the storage quantity of gold and silver at Sprott. As I buy and sell PHYS and PSLV on the TSX I assume I am selling to OR buying from another trader in the market. Where does Sprott obtain the funds to add to its holdings or are the physical holdings constant after funds from the IPO were invested in the metals? Am I trading around those initial physical holdings?
If I don’t hold the physical metal like having a gold wafer in a safe deposit box, do I really own it?
