Q: Regarding Brian’s question:
I can’t find a press release, but I think this issue was in fact scheduled to reset on Dec 1 , 2023
Pembina website shows a dividend rate of 6.525%, presumably based on par at $25. This would run until Dec 1, 2028.
Adds up to about $1.63 per annum or $.4078 quarterly.
Stock closed at $20 so if bought at that price would effectively yield about 8.16%.
I apologize if my math or info is incorrect, but this is worth rechecking I think.

Q: Ref Brian question on Friday, Dec 1 :

``The annual dividend rate for the Series 1 Shares for the five-year period from and including December 1, 2023, to, but excluding, December 1, 2028, will be 6.525 percent, being equal to the five-year Government of Canada bond yield of 4.055 percent determined as of today plus 2.47 percent, in accordance with the terms of the Series 1 Shares.`` .

According to me, the dividend should now be 0.4075 …

Q: Hi 5i team, I am trying to understand the difference between some of the different series of preferred shares of Pembina Pipeline. For example ppl.pr.a with current price of $15.60 yields 7.86 percent while ppl.pr.k has a price of $25.47 and yields 5.64 percent. Can you explain the difference between these two series and offer your opinion as to which is better to buy. Thanks.

Q: I have accounts with Wood Gundy and Investors Edge, so consequently had a mishmash of preferred share holdings. In an effort to build a better yielding, laddered, preferred share portion of my portfolio, I sold all current preferred positions and am planning a ladder with the above noted shares in a non-registered account. These will constitute about 20% of my total portfolio. Do you have any concerns with the choices, or rate resets in general ? I rate resets have not performed well, but the yields are quite attractive.
