Q: Hello, on several occasions you have suggested PHYS as a tool to invest in gold bullion. I see that there are two versions of PHYS, one is CA and the other is US. Which one would you recommend in a non registered account? Thanks, Gervais

Q: I currently have no investments in precious metals. What would your order of ranking from 1 to 4 would the following KL:CA, AEM:CA, FNV:CA and PHYS:CA be for a hold of 5 years or more. Q: I have CGL.C in my non rrsp account and do have a capital gain so I am thinking of selling this as I do have some capital loss that I can use it to offset the gain. I know you also mentioned that PHYS also has lower fees than CGL.C so would this be a good switch?

Q: Hello,
I’d like your opinion on phys.ca. I’m holding a small amount that I bought at $13 and the price is down a little. Is now a good time to average in or do you think it’s still too early?. What are your thoughts on Projections of $1800 plus per oz? This will still be a relatively small holding in a trading account.

Q: I would like more details on PHYS that was discussed briefly today. Apparently there is no dividend, EPS is $220, and Book value is $10.95. Since there is no dividend, is the EPS used to purchase more gold? Are there any MER or storage fees? How does it differ from PHYS.U (Sprott PHysical Gold Trust transferable redeemable units? Where can I find more details on those shares?

Q: Good Afternoon,
Any thoughts on the pros and cons of owning a physical Gold Trust (PHYS) to hold in your brokerage account or actual gold bars stored in a secure vault somewhere? I suppose the obvious would be you can easily see and track the PHYS daily in your account and provide instant liquidity if one chooses to sell. I know you have to be careful with some Gold ETf's and products out there that don't really have the gold to back the paper but that is not the case for PHYS. Do you see any benefit in purchasing actual gold bars? Insurance & storage costs, illiquid and not easy access would be strikes against holding the physical metal.
Any thoughts on this?

We would be fine with PHYS here. SGOL is another option, holding physical gold bars in Swiss vaults
