Q: Thanks for all your excellent work. Having recently moved to the US and opted to convert my young-ish Nova Scotia pension account to an RRSP and a LIRA, I’m looking to invest the ~100k in these accounts. Horizon: at least 5 years, but probably much more (I’m 40). Having narrowed down a tentative list of names (see below – tech-heavy, I realize), and with a focus on growth, I’m hoping to sort out the best buying strategy. Specifically: (1) At this moment, does the conventional wisdom to buy each stock gradually makes sense to you as good rule of thumb (e.g., over the course of a year, for each stock, adding a quarter of the total intended position once every few months or so)? (2) Also: I’d greatly appreciate seeing a ranked list of, say, which five of these stocks you think it would be especially wise to start with (i.e., buy now, or buy more of sooner) and which five you think I should wait to buy. Feel free to dock me for two questions! Thanks a ton, Chris

Q: HI 5i -
What is your take on this company (Eguana Tech), recognizing that it is very small - is it financially healthy? What do you think of its revenue prospects as part of the larger energy storage market? They claim to have a patented storage solution that is superior to competitors, and apparently have an order backlog of ~$23M.
Thanks,
Tom

Q: There have been a number of news releases on marketing partnerships and potential sales lately? Is there something hers or is this a replay of past? comments?
Q: Eguana Technologies (EGT) looks like it is now, finally, poised to start generating revenue. They are now talking about having $5 million on the order books, though there have been no formal announcements. The stock is pretty much at one year lows, despite the numerous tier-one partnerships, energy storage market momentum, and apparent company momentum.
What would be your views, now?
Thanks,
David

Q: EGT just news released today at 2:00 pm, and the stock ended up 40%. Basically, Eguana Technologies and Bosch are collaborating on a Home Battery System (HBS) project, which will be on display at DistribuTECH in San Diego, CA from January 31 - February 2, 2017.
It's now 55% of my company. Do you think I might actually consider buying more, holding, or selling a small portion, tomorrow?
Also, I today transferred $5500 of stock-in-kind into my TFSA, at the low of the day ($0.235, but it closed at .33). I know I will have to pay a possible capital gains tax for the deemed disposition, but it also allows me to transfer a larger amount of shares into my TFSA. Is there something I'm missing, or is that the logical thing to do, assuming that the stock,1-5 years from now, will inevitable be much higher?
Thanks,
David
