Q: Dear Sir,
Hearing a lot about the upcoming 5G system boosting economic activity. Can you suggest companies in the robotics, communications, chips manufacturer, etc. sectors that one can invest in to benefit from the 5G roll out? Alternatively, an ETF that covers this space would also be helpful. Thank you.
Regards,
Danny

Q: Hi,

I purchased these utility and telecoms largely because of their low beta. In the recent downturn, they fell as much or more than hi growth stocks like SHOP, FB, AMZN or NVDA. AQN was down over 40%?? How do you account for that? Seems to me I'm better off ignoring 'safety' and going for growth?

Q: I'm interested in investing in any North American companies that would benefit from the 5G network infrastructure that is being put in place in the world. I'm thinking of companies that would build 5G networks but it could also be companies that would benefit from 5G. Can you please list your top 3 choices? Thanks.

Q: In addition to my growth stocks (40% of my CDN portfolio), I have 'safe stocks' RY, T, ACQ, BIP.un in Canada and in US, I have AQN, AEP, NEE. (about 20% in US portfolio, so far). I notice that in the last year, these lo beta, ‘safe’ stocks have been performing as well as growth stocks. Because I think we’re in for more volatility, I’m interested in buying more lo-beta-with-some-growth stocks for the next few years. What do you think of these options complementing what I have? Can you pick two?
PLD
AMT
BEP
TERP
AWK
WTR
CWCO

Q: What companies will benefit the most with the role out of 5G. I own both T & BCE for over 10 years: will they benefit in terms of increased activity - data and cloud computing?

Q: Hi. I'm continuing to transition from overweight CAD stocks to US equities. Could I have your preference (and rationale) for ONE each from the following four dyads:
US Telecom: VZ or T (i.e.,AT&T)
US Healthcare: ABT or MRK
US Real Estate: CCI or AMT
US Industrial: HON or UTX.
Thanks much!

Q: It is my understanding that that 5G signals will require a different type of transmission installation, namely smaller and much more numerous for the shorter distances involved. The two companies often mentioned are AMD American Tower and CCI Crown Castle however only the latter is specific to 5G. Am I missing something here as I am looking to invest in 5G transmission but don't want to go off in the wrong direction.
Thanks

Q: I have owned BCE for many years and have been happy with the returns it has provided. I am wondering if there is a company(s) that you may recommend that will compliment this holding other than the other big names (Telus etc) that will take advantage of the roll out of 5G. I have also owned Apple for many years as hardware provider. It is my understanding that exciting towers will not be used for 5G? Perhaps a tower company or chip provider? any Ideas and your rational would be much appreciated. Thanks as usual for the great service you provide!
