Q: Hello
I have owned some AIG stock for close to ten year now hopping it would recover from the financial recession like a J.P Morgan for example. Now with COVID it appears it will take some time maybe years before earnings get back on-track. Would you replace with Manulife/Sun Life and Intact this side of the border.

Could you comment on most recent quarter results for both Saputo and AIG?

Q: If the US Fed follows Canada and becomes more aggressive with rate hikes what sectors should benefit most and what do you think are the top choices in those sectors?
Q: Is AIG worth holding for 2-3 years. My base cost is $57 and I am concerned that it will drop below this level. I have held this stock for several years.

Q: In a previous answer, you wrote:
"SLF cites that a 10% downturn in real estate assets would lead to a $175 million decrease in net income. With operating net income in Q2 of $474 million, while a real estate decline would 'hurt', we do not think it would be a company ending event."
The figure you cite here represents a 37% loss of net income in a 10% downturn. I've heard a number of times that a 40% downturn is possible, or worse, so wouldn't that mean SLF could find itself in very serious trouble? If so, are there any other insurance companies (Canadian & US) that you might recommend as a way of capitalizing on rising rates, which could weather a severe real estate decline more easily? The names I've been considering are POW, MFC in Canada and AIG, MET, PRU, CB of in the USA. Thanks for any thoughts on these or other companies.

Q: Do you have an opinion on this U.S. Financial stock?
Q: Hi 5i
I apologize..another US question. I have looked at CH AIG AFL PGR and MET. Do you feel there is more upside to US Insurance companies. So far in my research CH has not gone up as much as the others and AFL has had a big drop today. Would you suggest one to me please.
Thank you for your sage advice as always.
