Q: I opened an FHSA and am looking to max it out and put half in index and half in high growth potential stocks. Not looking to purchase a home for min 5 years up to 10. If i end up not buying I would just flip it over to the RRSP. What are some stocks that you would recommend that have a high upside potential? CAD or US stocks.

Q: Good afternoon, Just wondering if your conviction for Elastic N.V. is still as high as it was several weeks ago? Since the drop following the recent earnings report, ESTC hasn't really participated much in any of the tech rallies. I'm down about 11% and wondering if I should be patient, or consider selling and adding to other high conviction picks already owned, such as NXT, VRT or AXON? Thanks. Brad

Q: Hello 5i,

On Feb 28th 5i provided answers to Jacques and David on the top 10 US and CAD stocks to own in a TFSA. Thank you for that answer.

Can you please provide the top 12 stocks overall (CAD or US) in order of priority that should be in a TFSA? We have both US and CDN funds + CDR's. Diversity is not important at this time and we are anticipating that US stocks will outnumber CAD stocks in the top 12. Funds are not required for 6 years or more.

If this was your TFSA, would you have equal weighting or will one or more of the stocks have a higher weighting compared to other stocks? If yes, can you identify the stock(s) and the % of weighting? We can equal weight the remaining stocks.

Thank you

Q: Thoughts on the dramatic reversal today in NVDA? Are these just the bots selling and then retail panicking causing more selling? Near term top? What are your general thoughts on the markets currently? Does tech need a cooling off period to reset? If you were trimming NVDA, what are some best ideas non tech or AI related to currently buy or add to? Long term investor and focused on keeping position sizing in line. Thanks!

Q: I have made money on TTD but am getting bored with it. It goes up and down like a yoyo and does just fine but I'm wondering if there is something with a clearer path to growth if I am okay with volatility? If it was a simple question of owning TTD or buying something different would you keep it? If not, which two stocks would be good to keep growth exposure with a bit of diversification?

Q: ISRG and AXON. Love the narrative and the respective charts for both these stocks. I just can't get past the valuation. For instance, in a recent article on SA by a highly
respected author, he opened my eyes on P/S ratios. Here's a quote:

"While 41 companies in the S&P 500 are trading above 10x price-to-sales, 131 companies (26% of the S&P) trade above 5x sales and must grow sales by more than 100% yearly to maintain that valuation. The problem is that some companies, like Apple (AAPL), have declining revenue growth rates."

Both ISRG and AXON are in this high P/S category he's referring to. In fact not only are they both above 5, they are above 10. Were they priced at more reasonable P/S levels during the last recession? Is that the only time you can grab these two wide-moat companies at a more compelling ratio?

Q: Hello 5i,

Thank you for taking time to answer so many questions on top stocks to own or purchase. We read through questions on ranking popular stocks but we were not able to formulate a priority list of CDN and US small cap stocks, especially with so many rising quickly in the last couple of months.

Based on current valuations, risk, growth potential, and management, in what order would you purchase the stocks below for a 2-5 year hold? If there are too many stocks, can you please list your top 10 or 12 in priority from the list?

ACLS, ACMR, AXON, CELH, DOO, ESTC, GSY, HPS.A, INMD, LMN, OPRA, NXT, PATH, PLTR, SMCI, VRT

Thank you

Q: Thanks to 5i, over the recent past, I have DCA these stocks, holding less than 5% with room to add based on your advice.
a) 3% - AXON VRT HPS ISRG LMN
b) 2% - BKNG CLS LLY NVDA CELH
c) 1% - POWL NXT EXP
Please rank those that you would be comfortable adding to [DCA] now - with target percentages. For example, would you add to AXON first and, if so, to what percentage.

Q: Hi,

One of the larger holdings in my portfolio is NVDA ~5%. I trimmed some NVDA last week and bought some VRT ~1%. Thinking of buying some SMCI as well. Do you think owning all three would be too correlated or would it be okay? Thinking of adding ~1% position to SMCI (seems to have settled down a bit here). If it were you, in what % would you allocate to each of the three names?

Also long AXON (nice results yesterday). Would like to add more but looks pricey at 68x p/e and 11x p/s. Thoughts?

Thanks!
