Q: Repligen is trading close to the 52-week low and would welcome your analysis of their recent operating performance and market potential looking forward.  Post-pandemic and mindful of competitors in the same space does their stock have any opportunity to excel in the coming year, and if held as a position in a long-term growth portfolio, could you please rank the appeal of Repligen in descending order versus your go-to favorites in the same general space.  Thanks kindly for your thoughts.

Q: hi, portfolio analytics says I am underweight basic materials, consumer defensive, healthcare and industrials. can you provide a few Canadian and US equities in each category, that you would consider for medium to long term investment.
cheers, chris ( take as many credits as you need ).
further, I am overweight in utilities ( 18.6% of total holdings ) and financials ( 25.5 %). do you recommend trimming these 2 sectors? and in financials I own BN and BAM ( which I would suspect actually have cross-over with other sectors? )??
cheers, chris

Q: Since the healthcare sector in Canada is quite limited, I would like to explore the option of purchasing 100% US healthcare stocks to better represent this sector. I would greatly appreciate it if you could suggest six stocks that I should consider. Thank you in advance.

Russ Healy was on BNN saying net overall asset value continues to drop in the last 5 year's and i agree with him as my performance is negative (down 6% in the last 5 years, (this is excluding the dividend . Kindly explain how you continue to recommend this stock as it clearly is a loser in value the dividend is its only advantage... would TRP not be a better risk return or even Fortis / one of the pipes for that matter Thanks for your help with this . Q: I am considering adding to my current position in ABBV.

The stock is down close to 18% since the last earnings report. I'm sure the whole Humira thing had been priced in all along, but as of the last report, has the company outlook really changed that much to justify the size of this pullback? Are you comfortable with adding at this point, or should one have patience? I think the debt continues to be reduced quarter by quarter, which should help.

Q: Hi team,

I recently trimmed my position in NVDA and I would like to add the proceeds to my dividend income.

I currently owe BAC, BX, DFS, DUK, HAS, GLW, KMI, NVT, PAC, SWKS, VZ, WMB AND ABBV for dividend and some growth. I would like to add one or more US company to this list.

Any suggestions to add to this list? And, what company would you replace in this list if you have any concerns?

Oh, I'm not a big fan of tobacco companies.

Thank you for the great service and I really appreciate your insights.

Stephan

Q: As I'm sure you're aware, this is a name that has been drifting steadily lower since it ranked on its disappointing latest earnings release. Do you think it remains a premier us drug manufacturer worth holding or would you recommend redeploying the capital into another name?

Q: In the US healthcare space, I am looking for a value priced name with meaningful upside total return potential (3 to 5 years) ideally with some current yield. Am thinking ABBV but not sure if I should be looking at pure play pharmaceutical, equipment mfg or..? CVS already owned
Thoughts please on above or others, and thanks

Q: Is inflation finally under control?
Will we have a recession? How deep could it be?
Are our banks safe?
Are we losing control of our country to others that seem to play by different rules? We just kicked a Chinese diplomat out of Canada for threatening the family of a member of the Canadian parliament. How will China retaliate?
Russia is still at war against Ukraine. How is that impacting the world economy?
Climate change is threatening economies in counless ways. Almost all negative.

So here's my question. In your opinion, what Canadian and global companies offer a service so necessary or a product that is in such high demand that they will persevere in these troubled times and make profits for their investors?
