Q: Hi thank you for all that you do.

I would appreciate your thoughts on a top ten list for growth plays in the US for an RRSP. (1 ETF) Time horizon is on my side as I’m a younger investor, and a dividend is not important.

Also, can you please provide a grade for each stock chosen? Ex A -E as shown in the Report section.

Would this list be any different in a TFSA? If so, why?

Thank you and please deduct points as necessary.

Nick

Q: Hello,

Further to your response regarding inflation and five Canadian and US names that might perform better, do you also have five mid cap or smaller cap names that might benefit from inflation? Both US and CDN?

Thank you!

Q: I bought the dip in MED after their last earnings call. I am currently down around 20%. It looks like it has stabilized somewhat, and might be on an uptrend. I was thinking of adding to my position, although I'm a bit hesitant to do it before their earnings call on Nov 4.
What's the best thing to do in this situation? Buy some now, and possibly add more after earnings come out? I know you like the stock. This is for my TFSA.

Thank you for all that you do.

Q: I have this for a number of years, and think to drop it, as its market performance has been poor. What is your opinion on it. Looking to replace it in a tfsa with any of your recommendations for growth, sector does not matter in view of overall portfolio.
thank you for your excellent services.

Q: Thanks to rising oil prices, I have cashed out of an oil stock at the original price paid 5 years ago. I feel lucky to have done so as this is a sector I wish to avoid. This makes my TFSA ( small part of total portfolios and is my fun money ) 50 % cash.
Knowing that momentum is important to you, what are your thoughts on the momentum of the S&P 500 ? The growthy small caps seem to be out of favour at the moment. Do I wait until market sentiment has changed back or look at other larger growth stocks ? Your 3 suggestions for a risk oriented TFSA is appreciated. Derek

Q: Hi Team,
I am holding the following stocks at a loss. BABA (-52%), MED (-30%), TT(-4%),EGLX (-33%), MG (-8%), SWKS (-20%), U (-1%), PINS (-33%).

My question is, should I continue to hold the line with all of these? Or are there any that stand out to you as being better off to sell and swap out with a different holding of which you suggest? Or any of these I should be selling, and adding to another one of these? I thought perhaps after yesterdays sell off there might be some moves I should be making. (Although the market is already recovering nicely today on alot of these names). Suggestions here would be appreciated. Thanks!
Shane.

Q: What would be your ranking of the above names today for a growth portfolio? Are there any you wouldn't currently view as a buy?

Q: Hi Team,
I am currently reviewing my TFSA and the current holdings within that account. I am looking for your thoughts if any of my holdings should be adjusted or removed/trimmed, or if you had any suggestions for new buys. My focus in this account is growth for a 10yr+ period. I hold the following stocks, listed as a % of my tfsa: LSPD (32.3%), CELH (9%), Docu (5.6%), Fb (19.3%), Pltr (4.9%), SQ (12.2%), TTD (8.9%), U (7.9%). Thanks

Q: My recent question about defensive growth stocks - let me rephrase it as I was after growth in defensive sectors . In defensive sectors I would appreciate your advice on top 3 growth stocks within each sector for 5-10 year hold. For example, in staples sector, could you advise top 3: COST, ATD, MED, CELH, PEP, MDLZ, BYD, DRVN, MNRO, or others. For Utilities sector, please advise top 3: for example, BEP, BIP, RUN, PBW, ENB, or others. For REITs and Telecoms, same. Please deduct requisite points.
Thank you..

Q: Any recommendations for US or international (listed on US stock exchange) stocks for RRSP and TFSA accounts to help overall diversification with non-registered accounts that are overweight Canada geographically and within that financial, energy, and utilities overweight. Thanks.

Q: Hi,
In respect to the question from Brad in regards to small caps, you responded as:

"We have seen some studies showing the group is cheap (relatively) than it has been in 10 years. The 4Q is often good for the sector.

Could you name 3 to 5 small cap stocks that you would recommend?
Thanks,

Q: Hi team,
Just looking for any new thoughts on Med? Any idea why it’s been weak lately? I don’t understand why this one is being sold off so aggressively after beating estimates last quarter, and you would think the “healthy living “ aspect of the company would be a strong trend right now ? I am -21% on it after today . Is it time to sell or hold? If sell , is there anything in particular you would deem a much better buy right now with the funds ? I hold this in a US cash account so if I was replacing it with something I would prefer it to be US listed . I am typically a long term holder , unless the story changes or there’s a much better opportunity that comes along .
Thanks

Shane

Q: Good morning Ryan, Peter, and 5i Team,

Given the recent earnings miss and resulting downward momentum of WW shares, are you still confident that the thesis for investing in Medifast holds water? If not, might you suggest which one of your favourite US growth stocks (any sector) that you might currently prefer over Medifast? Thanks for your great service!
