Q: Hi, based on the companies that you cover and also US if possible, which companies are likely to have a stable and steady growth in the next 5 - 10 years ? I mean, I would like to invest in companies that are fairly valued today and that can grow steadily in the next years, not extreme high growth companies. I aim companies that will give me a CAGR > 10% but with a medium risk.

Q: NVDA up 200%, AMD up 180%, TSM up 79% and QCOM up 70% in one year. Can I have your opinion on which would have more legs for continued share rise given current conditions within these companies, etc. Thanks so much. Dam Dan

Q: My powder keg is dry waiting for the covid 2nd wave and in my opinion anticipated second market adjustment. The recent jitters made me realize I haven't made my buy plan for my cash...I am pleased with my portfolio and don't have any huge gaps, I am slowly switching from growth to income so am looking more toward your income portfolio for inspiration. In Canada ENB and H looked like good buy options and I already own Suncor so would top up on that as well to a full position. In the USA I am leaning towards P&G and Coke. These complement my current holdings and I feel these additions will do OK in a possible extended covid induced economic slowdown as well as be good long term income holdings.

Any names you wished you had added on the last drop or names you are watching with interest?

Q: I just retired with no pension and living off my portfolio. I’m sitting on a lot of cash right now with very little US investments. I would like to start buying slowly. What would you suggest. Preferably ETF’s listed on the TSX with the odd US stock. Thanks

Q: I am considering to start investing in the 5 G technology companies ( 2/3 companies for 3 to 5 years) . What are your thoughts on which sector: hardware, software... and which companies would be a good start. I realize this is a broad question, please take as many credits as needed.
Thank you!

Q: good morning,

I'm reading a lot of rather breathless prose about the potential of 5G and am interested on your thoughts for the potential of this technology. The names that pop up include Apple, Qualcomm, Nokia, Siemens, Skyworks, Crown Castle ( I believe that may have been a 5i suggestion) and even ( gasp) Blackberry. What companies would you suggest are best positioned to take advantage of the projected growth, both US and Canadian. Thanks.

Q: Firstly, thank you for your outstanding guidance.
The first 3 stocks haven’t bounced back yet and are still quite a bit down. My question is -would it be better to try and recover $ in the Growth stocks listed below the 3 or reinvest with A&W, BMO, PRU and wait it out for another year.
I have positions in the growth stocks that could be deeper in BNS, Telus, Enbridge, TCP, Kinaxis, Qualcomm. And if you suggest that the growth stocks make more sense to recoup money faster, could you rank these from strongest to weakest-(Potential for growth). Thank you.

Q: I have only one US Tech stock QCOM and have done well with it. However, I would like to reduce or replace it with a couple of other US Tech stocks. What do you suggest? I already have CSU and KXS in my CDN portfolio.

Q: I have these three in my TFSA. I just read that holding QCOM in it is a potential problem due to the withholding tax. Is that also the case for MSFT and V. Can you explain the problem further and if it is an issue should I be transferring these stocks out of the TFSA and into a registered or open account? Thnks.
