Q: Hi Folks,
Looking to add to my TFSA for 2021 - want something with some growth for a 5+ years hold - I am looking at NVDA, PINS, PLTR, U, CRWD, CSU, KXS and SHOP - can you recommend in order of preference.
Thanks

Q: Hi, My respected 5i team
I bought these stocks back in March or April 2020 during the market correction, thanks for your recommendation!
Right now, the upward momentum of these high tech stocks are diminishing and their valuations seems high.
What is your opinion about the valuations here, are they over valued too much? I'm worried about the "tech bubble" happens again. Should I sell them now or under what condition you suggest that I should sell ?

Q: I am a fairly new investor and was wondering your thoughts on when to begin diversifying? I own approximately 15 companies, mostly being TECH and Financial. Recently bought NVDA shares and am looking at U, CRWD and LSPD but not too sure when I should approach other sectors and look at companies like COST or TT for example. I would be targeting my RSP in this approach. (Not sure if that matters)

Also, your must own top 3 US/CND stocks for the next 25+ years for a TFSA?

Thanks for all that you do
Nick

Q: Looking to add semi-conductors into my portfolio, as there is a shortage of product and high demand in the Automotive and Electronics industries. Interested in your perspective on Analog Devices, NXP Semi-Conductors, STMicrelectronics and Micron Technologies, as they have all had a great run, but still have high Buy ratings. If you think these have had a great run, and has some risk, what alternatives would you recommend. Thanks

Q: Myself and my 21 yo daughter have been building a balanced portfolio following your recommendations. Thanks to your service this has been an incredible learning experience for her and profitable to boot! Right now we are trying to decide between PINS NVDA and AMZN to add to her TFSA (We are also adding TT at this time and are balanced across market sectors). Just wonder which you would prefer at this time for potential long long term growth.

Q: Thinking of doing something new - Add US stocks to TFSA.
As of now, this account has a balance/growth Cdn stock tilt, like the ones in the 5iR portfolios. Read on 5iR, best to include no dividend or low dividend US stocks. Question - is there a rule of thumb or range for holding US stocks in TFSA or is it all just personal?
Another question - for longer term holds in TFSA, what US stocks would you consider?
High 5 for the guidance!!!....Tom

Q: Hi, I am looking at topping up my TFSA with a transfer in kind from a cash account. I realize that doing so with a profitable holding will trigger a capital gain, so am wondering about transferring stock that I currently show a loss on. Granted it is a paper loss and I do not wish to sell the stock outright as it is NVDA. Would the same be true here in that I will trigger a capital loss, because technically the holdings are sold in the cash account and bought again in the TFSA? If so, then it seems like an interesting option - would you agree? Or is there an alternative you would suggest that is better? As always, your thoughts and input are greatly appreciated.
Happy New Year!
Dawn

Q: Good morning
my daughter age 30 has $100,000 US to invest hopefully in the next market correction
Her thoughts are to buy about 10 global stocks (including Canada and us) for longer term 10 years or more
I know you do not follow global stocks but can you suggest 10 stocks that may give good returns over this time frame
Happy New Year to the 5i team

Q: I own these stocks in my RRSP and would like to sell two, using the proceeds to buy them back in a US$ TFSA.Which two would you advise to make this switch? I could utilize DLR.U and DLR to do this and pay the required tax using cash in my C$ TFSA .Can this switch be done directly with the tax being paid separately?

Q: Hi everyone!

I have a 2% weighting in technology. I am deploying a lump sum from a real estate sale and so far I've deployed 35% of my total, with 1% each in Kinaxis and Lightspeed, although Lightspeed is now probably a 2% position with its advance. Looking to exchange some money to U.S. dollars and was looking at the Companies above. My target weighting for technology is 14% so I can add a few companies. Which are your favourites? Any others to add to the list?

Thanks,
Jason
