Q: Good morning, I kept almost all my growth stocks thinking I'll ride it down as usual but it's a bit worst than I thought, instead should have trimmed more to the like of NVDA and SHOP and a few others. Down over 12.6% from high so far. Everything seems to being priced for recession. Panic selling has not started yet just a slow drift down. Market could go down considerably more from here. Like 10 to 20% and we won't hear the bell.
Starting to get jittery. Your view on this assumption please?
Thanks for the great service!

Q: Hi group please what would be your 3 top picks along with brief explanation (in order of preference) in Canada + US regardless of sectors and risk.

2 nd question - We are in heap of trouble due to inflation +geo political concerns + and so on. Do you recommending selling some higher risk growth / Tech stocks into this weakness. Is it time to reduce stock holdings generally? I realize you do not have a crystal bowl but you comments are requested thanks

Q: Hello 5i Team,

With the continued decline of stocks related to the semi-conductor industry (e.g. materials, fabrication, testing), is now a good time to buy for a 3+ year hold? Or should I wait for prices to settle?

Either way, could you please recommend 3 stocks for me to consider (not including NVDA, which I already own) and include a brief comment explaining each choice.

Thanks!

Q: When the price of oil tanked, a few fund managers pounded the table. Now that tech is sputtering significantly, do you see multiples of today's prices in the next 18 months?
Specifically, Nvidia, Lightspeed, Topics, Shopify, Google, Facebook, Apple, Amazon, etc.
Is now the time or once the gut-wrenching war subsides or would you stay away?
Thanks.

Q: Hi, At times like these when positions at companies like Shop and Nvda are eroded..when does it make sense to add? Should one wait until the interest rate cycle is over and wait for the tides to turn? What indications should you look out for for growth stocks to rebound? Thanks. Shyam

Q: Hi 5I gang

I just want to confirm that thru this "risk on" period which will sustain for the foreseeable future, I am doing the correct thing by "holding" as opposed to "selling" these growth stocks.

Q: I need to lighten up on techy/growth stocks and replace with more defensive/value names. Of this list, are there any you would sell? If not, and if I wanted to sell something anyway, in what order would you suggest selling? Thank you.

Q: Hi 5i,

Looking for additional exposure in the semi-conductor market. I currently already have a 3% weighting in NVDA. I am looking to potential start a position in AMD or INTC.

Your previous answers to questions suggest you favour AMD (after NVDA) given the companies recent execution.

However, INTC seems to be turning a corner with there plans to build new plants in Arizona in the next few years and change in management. Based on its current valuation (cheap compared to AMD) the current tailwinds of 'on shoring' it seems to me a compelling buy compared to AMD.

Your thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Appreciate all you do.

Q: With this announcement what would you expect in terms of stock performance going forward if approved? Would you have concerns with this if you were an investor? Long term I believe this best of breed company will be fine but if the stock price will drop a fair bit I would rather add at lower levels. I feel like this is a pretty big dilution but what is your opinion? Thanks

In response to David's question today, you said that mega-cap tech is a sector that should perform well in recessionary environments. can you give some examples of stocks or ETFs. Also, you recommended consumer staples. Would you be comfortable buying consumer staples at these high prices?
