Q: CSU and BEP.UN are graded A and are your only A grade companies in Canada. What might be an A grade company from the U.S. if you were to grade?

Thx

Please rate these in terms of safety and growth potential.

Q: I love NVDA but it just won’t love me back. Does it make sense to sell NVDA and buy AMD if it is only to harvest a tax loss that would only be used after 3 or more years? If yes, the idea would be to keep AMD i.e. NVDA would be bought back only if it remains in the doldrums after 30 plus days, failing which keep AMD for long term. (2) Would you in fact buy AMD or do you have another semi you prefer?

Q: If you go back in time anywhere from today to a few months, a lot of stocks have a previous low whereas with NVDA and AMD it is not the case, they continue to make lower lows for a lot longer than a few months ago. Have you got a reason why? SW has been performing very well for quite some time but I didn't buy it because 5i has not been too fond of it. Is this still the case? Thank you

Q: Hello, happy Canada to all. Currently building a moderate portfolio with the stocks above, all full positions except WSP, open to also taking on some more risk and buying into the negativity. Long runway of 5-10+ years. Am looking for 3 new options that would help achieve an overall 2.5-3% dividend yield (2 CAN and 1 US). And 3 growth options (2 CAN and 1 US). Please omit GSY, ENB, MG, TOI, and GOOG (I know, sorry) as these are also held in a separate account. Thank you for all that you do!

Q: Good afternoon - I am about break even on a full NVDA position and am considering selling and purchasing QCOM. Both are well down from their highs and while NVDA may have a higher ceiling, QCOM does pay a dividend which I am eyeing with interest. What do you think, and why? Thank you

Q: I sold these earlier these in a panic , to avoid losing what was left of a fantastic profit : I am OK on the 30 day rule . Technicals seem to be hooking upward and this appears to be an opportunity . I suppose repurchasing is considered bottom fishing but they pass the "would you BUY this stock today?" question .... so would you ?

Q: I bought NVIDIA years ago and have been considering trimming as I’m overweight, and now want to take advantage of stocks that have recently dropped. I am a long term investor focused on growth with medium-high risk, what 3-4 stocks Canadian and U.S. do you recommend to help compliment my holdings? My US holdings are GOOG, COST, ISRG, V and my CAD tech holdings are CSU, TOI, KXS, and STC.

Q: I sold NVDA to accrue a tax loss and I can now buy it back. You were extremely high on the company 12 - 18 months ago but you have been naming other semi-conductor companies lately - QCOM and AMD specifically when asked about the sector. Have you cooled on NVDA and should I just stay with my proxy, AMD, or I am splitting hairs here and would you be comfortable with returning to NVDA for the long term?

Appreciate your insight.

Q: In what order would you buy them today for 3 years?

On separate note, I am wondering when 5I started and how long I am member.
It was exciting ride over many years and without your help I would not survive.

Thank you for great service.

Q: Of these four stocks, Lightspeed seems to be the most volatile. Jumps the most on good days and drops the most on days like Monday.
My son's RESP needs a quick boost - he is going into second year.
Would you buy all four or just Lightspeed and hope for the best? No diversification concerns, just an outright roll of the dice.
Thanks.

Q: Hi! If you listen to Larry Summers from Harvard on Wall Street Week he speaks of stagflation, Fed not raising rates quick enough, and difficulty with getting a soft landing. If you had to create a brand new portfolio today with a tilt towards income and could choose a combination of 16 stocks from either the US and Canada what stocks would you choose?

Q: Hi,
I've long been watching Nvidia and I know you like it a lot. With it's big drawdown I am likely to buy it. My dilemma is I don't have room in my cash or TFSA accounts for it, without either selling other growth companies I like or paying capital gains tax. I do have room in RRSPs. Do you think it would still be worth buying in an RRSP since any growth would be taxed at a higher rate once sold?
Thanks for your perspective.
