Q: Hi,
Once again, NVDA is in the news - for Huang Jensen's comment today that sales of their Blackwell chips "is insane" and also for the fact that Mark A Stevens sold just over 200 thousand shares at the end of Sept. Jensen himself has also been a seller, however I see that he still holds some 800+ million shares, and Stevens retains 38 million post Sept sales. These insider sales make news, but how worried should we be when we see this sort of volume? Logic tells me that Stevens' amounts to around 1/2 a percent of what he owns, Jensen's recent sale is about .001 of his total. Would you just ignore the insider sales and focus on the high interest generated by the Blackwell chips?
As always, you're clear headed thinking is appreciated - thanks!

Q: I always hear that we should not hold more than 5% or max 12% on any given stocks. So why would PAY hold one company that is the majority of their income. If that is the case would 5i management would be comfortable buying any of their stocks.
My question does any of the Growth, Balanced or Income portfolio stocks holds where above 50% of their income comes from one source. If yes please share the company name since I usually buy from that portfolio. I don’t want to see another company collapse if they lose that contract or they don’t renew.

Thanks for the great service

Q: I owned GIB.A, DSG,TOI,LMN,NVDA,DCBO and would like to know if there is an overlap between any of these stocks or do they have their own unique business so all should be owned? I am trying to decide if I should reduce the numbers of tech stocks as I currently have 27 stocks and have read that best to have around 20-25 stocks.

Thanks

Q: Of the currently available CDR’s what would be your top 5 picks, ranked one through five, from a total return standpoint for a long-term hold (10-15 years)? Thanks.

Q: I currently hold full positions in NVDA and VRT. I'm considering adding a half position in AVGO, but wondering if that's too much concentration in closely related sectors. Would you hold all of these stocks or look for greater diversity?

Q: Hi,
I reviewed Q&A on INTC post "melt down"! I can understand your words of caution.

My question is based on a recent comment by a guest on BNN Bloomberg (Mark Sebastien) who said that INTC's fabrication unit alone is worth 22$. With QCOM and hedge funds circling around and the technical pattern indicating the possibility of island gap reversal, worth taking a small position for a quick 20-30% profit?
(22 to 30$ jump).

Am I dreaming or being delusional?!

Q: With the downgrade Microsoft has been dropping these last few days. Is this worrisome, should I take my profit and run or will this calm down and Microsoft will resume gaining? I take it there is nothing wrong with the company, just market sentiment which will change with a little time.

Q: Hello Folks:
We currently hold a higher position in energy producing / servicing stocks and are considering 1. adding to our current GE aerospace or 2. adding to our current tech sector of Amazon (not really tech?) and Microsoft by purchase of Navidia. We do
not currently have large portions of either GE, Microsoft or Amazon. We have owned NVDA in the past. What are your top 3 tech picks, is Amazon also a good choice and how do you see GE upside?
Thanks for your great service

Q: I am rewording a question I recently submitted in the hopes of satisfying 5i's evident concerns with regard to liability.

Theoretically speaking, if YOUR tech holdings were about 19% and included LMN, MSFT, NVDA and UBER...and if YOU held an additional 18% in 'tech like' stocks such as GOOG, AMZN, and VRT....would you personally consider yourself to be overweight, underweight or nicely balanced in terms of your personal tech holdings? Thank you.

Q: In response to a recent question, you had suggested an appropriate portfolio weighting for the tech sector would be 20-30%. Strictly speaking, I hold about 19% tech ( LMN 4.5%, MSFT 5.55%, NVDA 6.5% and UBER 2%). That said, I also hold an additional 17.6% of what I would consider 'tech-like' stocks: GOOG 5%, AMZN 6.75%, and VRT 5.85%. Would you suggest I am overweight, underweight or nicely balanced in terms of my tech holdings? By way of context, I would describe my investment style as risk-managed growth. Thank you.

Q: Hi Peter, my son was looking at starting a FHSA investment portfolio. I was thinking of having him start with a small position in NVDA as one of his holdings, would this be a good suggestion seeing that the shares have fallen since the split or would there be better stocks for such an account and if you could suggest some it would be appreciated. Thanks
