Q: Hi Folks,
I'm interested in purchasing 1 or 2 of the FAANG stocks for a long term hold. How would you rank them at this time? Do you consider all to be good buys at today's prices?
Thanks as always...
Dennis

Q: Hello 5i.
I have some cash and would like to add another US stock to my portfolio, and looking for a recommendation.
I currently own Enbridge (US market), Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, UnitedHealth Group AT&T and McDonald's.
Based on what I own, can you recommend 3 or 4 stocks which you think would be good for my portfolio?
Income is not necessary, but not a problem if it has a dividend. I am looking to invest in a well managed company, with good balance sheet, and good growth potential.
Thank you for taking the time to answer my question.

Q: Greetings 5i,
My portfolio is well diversified across all Canadian sectors, but lacking in American holdings. I am therefore making an effort to increase my US exposure, and am considering adding one of the FAANG stocks to augment my Canadian tech holdings of OTEX and PHO. Currently. I am leaning towards AMZN (as I view it as a great mix of established market dominance and growth potential based on its diversification into brick and mortar), or APPL (due to its massive cash position and what appears to be excellent stability going forward).
I am 36, fairly conservative (although not totally opposed to risk), and am looking for something to hold for the long-term.
Do either of these choices sound like a reasonable course of action to you? Do you favour one over the other at this time? Is there another large American tech holding that you feel would be more appropriate?
Thank you.

Q: Hello Folks:
I have owned GE in our portfolio for a number of years however am disenchanted with it's performance, and have limited hope of a shorter term fix, because of it's complexity and size. I do not own any teck stocks and considering google or microsoft. Allowing I am 70 years of age would I be foolish to go with google, even with it not having a dividend. I feel google has much more upside.
Thanks for everything
brian

Q: What is your take on the fine to Google
Q: Hello If I where to buy 3 stocks for my grandson to hold for 10 years what would be your suggestions. Would Amazon be one?
Q: I have owned the GOOG class "C" shares for many years and it trades with a minor discount to the class A GOOGL shares. On Market Call today the guest indicated "you should always buy the GOOGL shares. What is your opinion and if you agree should I sell to then acquire the GOOGL shares? That said, is this a reasonable time to bring this from a 3.4% weighting up to a 5%? Appreciate your insight.
Q: Hi,
I currently don't hold any tech. With the drop last week almost sector wide would you think this is a good entry point? I'm long term (at least 3-5 years), fairly comfortable with risk. What would you recommend? Any drips available will be utilized as well.
THanks!

Q: Good morning gentlemen,
I have fairly large gains in the fang stocks as well as with Apple. With the Nasdaq taking its second consecutive beat down today, Would you be inclined to take profits. With Apple being down close to 8 percent in two days ( due to downgrades, ostensibly), in your experience. Does a stock like this rebound the following day? Also, do you think the sector shift away from tech could be an enduring trend?
All of the aforementioned positions are at 5-6 percent holdings.
What I'm getting down to is : sell today, or wait for a rebound ? I understand the former involves a degree of market timing, but surely with your many years in the industry, you must have some flair for such events.
With much appreciation,
Karim Rahim
