Here is a fun little exercise, if you had 1 million $ concentrated portfolio of 5-10 stocks and had a goal of an average 6%-8% return annually via combination of dividend and capital appreciation of holdings what stocks would you own? Canadian holding, and combo Canadian/U.S.A holdings. So 2x portfolio examples.

I realize this is just for fun and not financial advice. Thank you for the years of great service.

Q: My question is i hold these companies in my rrsp. I am up 186% on msft i have 22 shares and it is 2.8% of my portfolio. WSP i am up 195% 62 shares and it is 3.98% of my portfolio and unh i am up 135% 11 shares and is 2.69% of my portfolio. I would like to sell 5 shares of unh, 7 shares of msft and 12 shares of wsp. What companies should i pick up after selling these i have about 3 year time frame, or should i just hold on to them all. Thank you

Q: Can you please comment on The Trade Desk (TTD) latest earnings release. Was there anything of particular interest to note from the call this morning (either good or bad)? Is this one of your strong growth high conviction names to hold onto?

Q: In my TFSA, these are the stocks I would "like" to buy (CDR, NEO), probably in the order I have listed them, unless you have a suggestion: GOOG, NVDA, MSFT, AMZN, AAPL. But I will need to sell some positions to raise the cash to do so. These are my options to sell, probably in the order I have listed them, unless you have suggestions: EGLX, LSPD, TOI, NVEI, ATS. The goal is growth over a very long period (TFSA will go to my children). I am open to eliminating any from the buy list in order to keep any from the sell list. I just don't know how to compare the American names to the Canadian names. Thank you: I realize this may not be an easy question to answer, but it will help me a great deal.

Q: Hi 5i Team -My question is actually more on the future of AI. In an answer to a recent question on Google, you mentioned that the company is investing heavily in AI. In your opinion is this a concern? From current information and articles it seems that AI has its flaws and maybe even ethical questions around some of its applications. Could you please provide me with your outlook on AI, its strengths and weaknesses, and specifically how this might affect an investment in Google - and other companies that are investing in this technology. It's Friday night so there's no need to respond until sometime next week. Have a good weekend!

Q: About 2 weeks ago, Adam asked a question and 5i answered, as follows:

Q. Would now be a time to review ones stock holdings, maybe raise some cash in anticipation of slight pull back or considering a pause in rate hikes, would you go all in with growth stocks?

A. We think it is too early to go all in on growth or add risks. While we think the overall outlook is positive, there are still plenty of challenges. .....We still wouldn't time the market with a cash call.....When doing a review, however, we would still focus on the fundamentals rather than the stock movements. We think high-quality growth stocks look good, and there is no need to keep or layer on extra risk when solid companies still remain cheap even after recent moves.

Two questions from me:

1. Two weeks is a mere blip in the investment time horizon, nonetheless with a bit of news (interest rate + market response, some earnings releases, etc,) do you have any further thoughts about the overall outlook for adding cash or more of a tilt to growth?

2. Can you list 10 high - quality growth names (Cdn or US) that fit your desired fundamental profiles, contemplated by your answer to Adam?

I own both GOOGL and CRWD. I am considering selling CRWD for a tax loss, and buying more GOOGL since the AI (or is is AU for artificial unintelligence?) chat thing mishap has driven price down more. question is do you think this is wise, or do you like CRWD as much as GOOGL right now? I am a long term investor, and certainly don't need to get (another) tax loss benefit. appreciate your thoughts, chris
