Q: If you were planning to deploy some new money into a few growth-oriented names today, which names would end up on your shortlist? (CAN or US)

Q: Earlier today you replied to a question with: "We are not big fans of averaging down, but if we were to do it BAM.A would likely be near the top of the list. When 'the market' brings down all stocks we are more comfortable buying more as opposed to when a company in isolation declines. We are not worrried about BAM getting through this market and/or upcoming recession. "

Please list 5 cad and 5 usd stocks that would be in your top list that would meet the above criteria.

Q: Hi! If you listen to Larry Summers from Harvard on Wall Street Week he speaks of stagflation, Fed not raising rates quick enough, and difficulty with getting a soft landing. If you had to create a brand new portfolio today with a tilt towards income and could choose a combination of 16 stocks from either the US and Canada what stocks would you choose?

Q: I own GOOG shares in a US account at 982 US, or converted to Cdn $ at 1,299.97. I also own the GOOG mini shares at 23.35 Cdn$.
Am I correct that I have to add these shares to calculate my ACB, 1299.97+23.35=1,323.32/2=661.66?
Or are the shares considered separate with each having their own ACB?

Q: Bought shortly after announcement of split resulting in current loss. Splitting at 20 to 1 on Jun 3.Thinking of adding tomorrow or should I wait after split.Note that Amzn along with Goog & Msft are u top US stocks today. Txs for u usual great services & views. Q: Hi Peter,

I am fortunate enough to have added the following big tech names to my portfolio recently. I currently do not hold an ETF although have been considering SPY as I have about 20k US at my disposal. Or take advantage of other big names currently on sale?

Do you feel there’s better ETF’s since I currently have full positions of it’s top 5 holdings?

Q: I have about 10% of my portfolio in NVDA currently, and am . I have a 20+ year time horizon. Is this too risky of a position to take? Would I be better to put some or all of the money into XQQ, VUG, or GOOG to de-risk and position myself for long term returns?
