Q: Hi 5i,
These holding are all in my RRSP, 12 months from retirement, I'm planning to sell 80% of TOI, LMN, NVDA (not now) waiting for "better time" if it's possible to catch it. Can I have 2 or 3 suggestions for income + a bit of growth.

For an 18 year old who just opened their TFSA and starting with $6500, what stocks or ETFs (CDN and/or US) would you start with? There are no trading fees so there is no worry to buy 10 names if that is the best way forward.

Q: For AI, which companies are in the best position to benefit from having the largest and highest quality data sets, in addition to GOOGL ADBE and META. Please explain how they can benefit and whether they are buyable today for long-term holds.

Q: Seth Klarman's fund reported a recent trimming of Alphabet and a new purchase of Amazon. Since he is a renowned value investor how would you explain that trade from a value investor's perch? Could it be that a company like Amazon which operates many global businesses and that may be poised to move into several others meaningfully (healthcare, etc) and potentially dominate in those cannot be traditionally valued because it provides future growth opportunities like no other company can and because of that isn't able to be predictably valued? Could it be that someone like Mr Klarman is investing in Amazon for the long term because he sees no company that compares with its potential, not even an Alphabet? Could it actually be reasonably priced as a "one-of-one" company? Would like your opinion on this "analysis" of Amazon. Thank you.

Q: Remind me what the diff is between the two and which would you recommend.? My research (TD) gives the identical description for both companies.

Q: Hi Folks,
In my RRSP account - thinking of selling my 2% position in AQN. I am currently down 33%. I also have FTS and BIP.UN as my Utility holdings with a 11% weighing for these two.
With that money I would buy a 3% position in APPLE. I also have MSFT and CSU as my holdings in the Tech sector. I currently have a 10% weighing in the Tech sector. ( I also have a 4% position in GOOG not included in the Tech sector weighing)
I have a fairly diversified conservative portfolio.
May I have your opinion as to whether this would be a wise move to make at this time. I am looking at a 10 year time frame and looking to add some "zip" to my portfolio.

Q: I’ve been holding qualacom at a loss for 2 years or so and am now considering moving on after the earnings release tonight as I don’t want to ride it back to the lows. I have hit the breakeven point with ICE and am thinking of selling it and buying another more growthy US holding. This is in my TFSA. I was thinking of adding it to my Microsoft. shares. I have Nvida already. Could you suggest any other US stocks? Would you consider keeping ICE??
