Q: Well, Gilead Sciences finally made there acquisition with their cash. Some say they should have brought Kite Pharma one year ago and overpay for it today. In addition, they say the Kite takeover will not be accretive for three years, What are your views and opinions on the deal that Gilead Sciences made for Kite Pharma?

Q: My primary investment objective is to find companies with growth potential with a secondary goal for some dividend income. I bought Innergex renewable (INE) a year ago at 14.80. This year it has been flat around 14.50. I am considering selling it and reinvesting the proceeds into Gilead (GILD). With GILD there is also the potential of some currency appreciation. Please let me have your thoughts. Is there another Company you would prefer to Gilead??

Q: Would you put money into biotech seasonally ? In the past I have done well on Celgene ... However , I have taken quite a hit on Gillead, so I am cautious.
Or should I look at the ETFs for a broader/safer play ?

Q: I'm holding about 5% of my investments in cash in a US dollar account and looking to invest in a blue chip dividend paying stock. Maybe one of the two above or another name you like. I'm 80 so dividend and low risk is what I would like to find.
Thanks for your great service

Q: Hello 5i team,
I have only one entry for healthcare (GUD) and was wondering if it is a good idea to add another security seeing as this sector is beaten down? If so do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,
Andrew

Q: Hi Team, apples to oranges but I bought GILD a while back for growth. What would you consider if deciding to switch to CRH Medical. Size, geography, I know. But for a five year growth play does this make any sense from a risk return perspective? Thank you, Michael

Q: Hello,

Over the past several years I have put together an adhoc portfolio with the following allocation:

ZEO (oil) %4
GIB.A %36
GILD %11
VOO %27
VSP %9
VIG %13

My goal overall is to build a long term growth portfolio (25-30 years) with some stocks mixed in. Any recommendations on how or if I should re-balance this? In your opinion is there anything I should move away from or that may be missing from this portfolio that I should add for long term growth? (ex. emerging markets or a global equity market index ETF).

If so, you could please provide a couple I should consider? I have a lump sum that I plan to contribute to the portfolio over the next 60 days.

Thank-you very much in advance!
Ryan

Q: The very best for 2017! May positive trading continue throughout the year!
I would appreciate your input in stock selection, i.e. biotech Amgn vs. Gild, and generics Teva vs. Acorn.
Thank you!
