Q: Hi Team, in my US RRSP, I hold Microsoft. Sold Intel and trimmed some Microsoft last week. Am looking to add a tech company in hardware space or a company that provides cloud hardware. Am thinking of Cisco (nice dividend) I do hold the NVDA in my TFSA. Thank-you in advance. Sam

Q: May I please have your opinion of this company as a long term hold ?
Q: Good Morning 5i,
Just wondering if these two stocks are still a hold or should be replaced?
Intel seems to be having problems with its 10mm process, insider trading and competition from Nvidia and AMD. As for Cisco a report last week claiming that Amazon Web Services plans to start selling network switches to other businesses and other major networking companies could impact Cisco down the road. Should we anticipate that though times are ahead for this network giant?
Thx
Marco

Q: I understand that US companies are not your focus but am looking for some advice on these companies. I hold the above companies in the US side of my RSP account and am wondering about holding both JPM and BAC. Would you recommend dropping one of these US banks and if so which one? If yes, what would you replace it with?
Thanks Ken

What's you current thinking on CSCO. I like the dividend and the space it operates in. Is the balance sheet still strong.

Q: Hello Peter and team, I hold CSCO in my portfolio which has been disappointing recently. Should I continue to hold or should I sell and replace it by something in the same sector such as QCOM? Regards, Gervais
Q: I've seen an article recently that speculates that the next paradigm shift will be a faster expansion of the "Internet of Things", especially by large industrial companies that over the next 30-40 years will automate more processes using equipment and sensors provided and monitored by outside companies. Names mentioned that are expected to benefit most were GE, Honeywell, Rockwell, Cisco and IBM. I'd appreciate your opinion on whether this seems like a good idea for long-term investment.
- Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO)
- Johnson Controls International plc (JCI)
- Novo Nordisk A/S (NVO)
- iShares Biotechnology ETF (IBB)
Q: I'm tweaking holdings within my US portfolio. I currently own IBB and NVO. I would consider selling one or both, to free up cash to purchase CSCO or JCI. Would you consider this a prudent move? Is there any other US equity that you would prefer over the ones I have listed?
Thanks for your help.
