Q: Hi 5i Team,

With small and mid-cap stocks at very low valuations what would be your must owns for stocks in the US and Canada for solid growth over the next 1-5 years with the core characteristics that you look for including solid growth in revenues, strong balance sheet and etc.?

Over the course of the next 6 months would you be a buyer of small to mid cap stocks or large cap stocks? I'm a long-term investor with a medium to high growth risk tolerance.

Q: Hi 5i Team - I hold the above stocks in three small U.S. accounts. I plan to keep NVDA, QCOM, AMZN, GOOG. My holdings in the other six are minimal due to the general sell-off over the past year: CRWD, UCTT, U, APPS, ROKU, UPST. I would like to combine these 6 into two, three at the maximum. Could you suggest which two or three should be kept. Or might it be best to sell all six and start over with a couple of different ones. My investment focus is growth with a three year timeline. Since it's the end of the week the answer can wait until sometime next week.

I've been away for a while and not keeping up with Questions, so this may already have been asked and answered. if so, please provide a link to the answer.
I'm hoping you could advise what sectors you think will reverse the current trend and begin to appreciate in value more quickly than others and, also, if you could identify three or so names you would expect to 'lead the charge' in each of those sectors.
If time and space permit, any commentary you might have regarding each identified sector and/or name would be appreciated. Thanks!

I have roughly $75,000 to invest. I am looking for US base stocks with upside. I have a pretty balanced portfolio so am looking for growth type names or ones with upside. This year i purchased amazon, netflix, disney, and nvidia so please recommend 4-5 of your best ideas other then those ones.

Q: I have a significant amount of cash to invest. Q: First thanks for the swift turnaround response for ADBE, yesterday. 
Now my focus is on Consumer Discretionary stock positions. I hold Canadian positions in ATD, BYD, DOL and PLC and then for the US, AMZN and HD. 
For the Cdn positions, all exceed the target weightings. But for AMZN, which I recently added to, the portfolio for this stock is underweight by 1.2% and for HD, underweight by 1.3%.
At this time, the total CD sector portfolio weighting is  13.5% compared to a target of 10% but me, comfortable going overweight this sector as I shy away from energy and materials.
I'm inclined to add to Home Depot next. What are your thoughts about adding to HD, especially looking forward to a brighter horizon?
Another one is ATZ which I have held in the past. Wondering about buying ATZ in the near term or wait awhile???
If there are other companies in the CD or Cyclic sector that you think I should consider for the brighter future, I'd be pleased to know about them.........Much thanks..............Tom

Q: I have held ULTA for some time and is up nicely. It hit a new yearly high on Tuesday, I am considering selling half and adding to AAPL/AMZN/GOOG/MSFT. I feel confident that when the market turns these 4 will do well. I am not so confident about ULTA. Could I please have your thoughts? Would you sell all/half/none? If you agree, in what order would you add to the others?

Q: I have recently redeemed some mutual funds that I have held for 20 to 30 years that will produce a significant capital gain for me in 2022. I have several stocks and an ETF that have been purchased in the past few years that are showing losses in the range of $5k to $15k. This includes TOI, U, SOXX, SQ, NVDA, MFI, MSFT, WSP and AMZN. Would you suggest selling these stocks to provide a capital loss that can be applied against my capital gain in 2022? It is my understanding that I will need to wait 30 days to repurchase shares to avoid the denial of the capital loss. If you would suggest selling these stocks and ETF, should I sell now or wait until the end of 2022? And if the stocks and ETF are sold to create a capital loss before the end of 2022, do you see some future in these investments and if so, which stocks would you suggest that I repurchase after 30 days? Recently you replied to a question regarding covered calls. You said you like high volatility companies for this strategy. In other places you said that you do not tend to write calls on core holdings. Just wondering what stocks you currently prefer for this strategy, that are not, or maybe, your core holdings
