Q: Hello Peter, Ryan and 5i Team:
Would you recommend to hang on to my half position in AAPL OR switch to one of the following: NVDA, XLNX or OLED for a 6-12 month hold? If the latter which one is your favourite given current market place environment and cap appreciation prospects?

Thank you kindly,
Romeo

Q: I have noticed recently that Aapl, Amzn, Brk, Googl and V that the daily share volume has been about 70 % of the 10 day volume and Shop and Sq have been at or higher than the 10 day volume ( the stocks mentioned are some companies in my portfolio). To me this means that the rise in share price does not have wide support and could fall soon.
Appreciate your comments on the support of the rally and are people hiding money in short term instruments until they can verify one way or the other the next direction of the market.

Q: Hi team,

There is no urgency to this as it is just a question on portfolio weightings given Berkshire’s AAPL holdings. With the AAPL warning last week, Warren Buffett lost $3.8 billion (on paper), as AAPL is 21% of his holdings. Other major weightings are BAC and WFC at about 11% each and KO at 10%. Four stocks make up over 50% of his portfolio, a very concentrated bet. The downside as seen is that one wrong turn can drive big losses.

I don’t follow your portfolios all that closely as I have a U.S. focus, although I do hold several of your stocks. I believe your portfolios each hold 20-25 stocks, at 4 to 5% weighting each, which makes sense for diversification purposes and to avoid big losses on one stock.

Given these two different perspectives, and with Buffett viewed as the greatest investor of all-time, how has he done so well over the past 50 years with such a concentrated portfolio?

Your views are appreciated.

Q: Do you know when is Apple next earnings call ? I would like to see some analyst challenge CEO Cook about outrageous pricing that pushes them out of the market. Did he mislead the investor on November first when he said that “business in China was very strong?” If things goes really bad is it possible that the board could remove Cook as CEO before the end of 2019 ?

Q: Good Morning,

What are your thoughts on Apples recent downward guidance, stock is now down 38% from its highs a few months ago, it is as you know a very cheap stock for a "tech" company. Do you feel that this is way overblown... I understand the trade war concerns but this has to be a short term concern (1-2 years).

Is this not a very compelling price at its current valuation with the cash hoard they have and stock buybacks, services revenue increasing, etc.

I do not own Apple but I have been waiting for a good time to buy some and now seems like a good opportunity to maybe buy half a position and see how it goes? Would you think Apple would be a good stock to buy for a grandchild's RESP money not needed for 15 plus years?

Q: I'm in China for a few weeks, and I am astounded at the payment system. The only place I've been able to use my Visa card is Starbucks. For me, everything else is cash, because I am not set up for the point-of-sale system here. Aside from the few foreigners paying cash, this is truly a cashless society. Each vendor has a scan code sticker - Purchasers use their phone, scan the code, and pay the bill in one easy step. Do you know which companies are behind this system?

Q: Curious as to what's attracting Buffet to Apple. Could they be due to transform from selling product to a subscription model and enjoy a renewed period of growth similar to Microsoft?
I've enjoyed a good ride with CSU, but wondering if it could be timely to sell and purchase Apple. Would you proceed or not?
Thanks Peter.

Q: HI there: I am still in comfortable profit margin from investments in the three stocks above. I wonder what you think about taking profits (now 20 % lower for Apple) now and holding some money on the side, or is buying on this dip a good idea. Especially re Apple.
