Q: I have full positions on those above. I want to add one more tech company. I am trying to buy only one within the sector and at the same time diversify their business. For 3/5 years I am thinking crowd, pltr or possibly pins. What are your thoughts and a short opinion? Thank you for all the excellent service.

Q: I am concerned about 30% of my holdings being in IT and would like to reduce perhaps by half and cover some other sectors for balance. (Just read your year-end article about predicting 2021 - perhaps you would not be concerned about 30% going forward)
What order might you trim / sell these to raise cash?
Much thanks for steering us through a year full of uncertainty.

Q: I own these stocks in my RRSP and would like to sell two, using the proceeds to buy them back in a US$ TFSA.Which two would you advise to make this switch? I could utilize DLR.U and DLR to do this and pay the required tax using cash in my C$ TFSA .Can this switch be done directly with the tax being paid separately?

Q: Greetings All:
The only tech name I own is MSFT, and I should have added to this sector long ago. Would you please do a comparison between apple and facebook including the following metrics: Expected growth, volatility, fundamentals including strength of the balance sheet, cash on hand. Finally, your recommendation or perhaps other more favourable companies.
Thanks,
Ben.

Q: Hi Peter et al:
I had some EMC shares, and when dell tyook them over I received 7 Dell shares. I want to increase this to an even 100- 300 depending on your advice. I researched Dell a little and read a comparison with Apple. Ranks 3rd in the pc market behind HP and Lenovo. Has 45 bil debt, but might spin off Vmware ( 81% x 60 bil=50 bil for Dell. Investors would then get the rest of the company for nothing.Currfent debt/Equity 110%. Apple 6%. Apple cash 190 bil. At current valuations Dell looks more attractive. Apple p/s 7.5x Dell .6x. It has a peg ratio under 1. Apple 2.4. Please advise. Maybe I should just sell the 7 shares and forget it. I don't like small odd numbers. Thank you, as always.

Q: Greetings and perpetual thanks 5i - TEC is approximately 40% concentrated in the FAANGs and trades in Cdn dollars. Is there another Cdn dollar ETF that has an even higher concentration than TEC?

Q: Thanks to your excellent recommendations 2020 has been a record year for my family’s portfolio. Thank-You.
However, I feel like I need to consolidate some of the tech companies I own so when their prices rise I will have more torque. Which of the above companies would you suggest I merge, drop, or even add? Growth is my only objective.
Enjoy the holidays.

Q: I know it’s a good problem to have but my listed tech stocks have done really well thanks in part to recommendations from 5i. So much so that I now have 41% in the tech sector. Since selling my mutual funds and establishing my own portfolio, your guidance and suggestions have been so much appreciated. It seems that other sectors may be the place to be as we come out of the pandemic. The issue is that these are for the most part proven quality stocks. I’m not keen on selling any of these. Does one bite the bullet and sell some ? If so suggestions are appreciated? Or does one just trim profit and migrate into other sectors and buy more of companies like DOO GSY and WELL? Thanks

Q: I recently purchased Qualcomm as it seems to be a frequent recommendation of 5i's.
I'm around the break even point at this time due to its decline on Friday after news came out about Apple making its own chips, replacing those of Qualcomm.
This represents about 11% of their revenue.
Do you still recommend holding the stock or switch to something like Nvidia?

Q: I have the above U.S. tech companies thanks to your help.
Medtronics hasn't done much in the past year - should I hang on to it?
Am wondering about purchasing VEEV or Unity Software.
If I were to add to the above positions, in what order would you do this?
Thank you so much for all your valuable help!

Q: Hi team,

With 22 tech stocks weighting some 34% of my portfolio, I assume you would recommend that I rationalize my approach for a better diversification, both in my tech sector and in my portfolio as a whole.

To accomplish that, while keeping a strong growth approach, could you indicate which are, in your view, 1) the « must own » stocks, in order of importance 2) those which could be dropped because of « double emploi » or high risk, 3) those missing to properly cover the tech sector ?

Please feel free to use as many credits as you see fit.

Gratefully yours,

Jacques IDS

Q: I recall 5i stating in 2020 that DSG, KXS and PHO, all have no debt and significant cash reserves. Can you recommend 3 other good Canadian and 3 American growth stocks in a similar position.
Thanks you.
