Q: I know you dislike the terms “screaming buys” and “backup the truck”..how about “almost irresistible “ buys to hold for the next 3 years? 5 Canadian, 5 US.

Q: My Consumer Descretionary % is a bit low.

1. I'm a little gun shy buying this sector right now due to economy slowing in the face of higher interest rates. It seems the consumer may be struggling here for awhile. Would you bump up a low sector waiting right now or just wait 6-12 months?

2. How would you currently rank the following watchlist for capital appreciation over the next year+? Are there some you would not really consider Consumer Descretionary - seems to be quite a range of business.


SHOP, QSR, ATZ, DOO, TSLA, MG, AMZN, ULTA, CELH, BKNG, GLBE, CROX.

Q: I have funds to put towards an aggressive attempt at obtaining an average 20% annual return over the next 3-5 years (own CSU, NVDA, GOOG, BN and few others with such potential). Not looking for a detailed analyses or commentary, but do any of these choices seem to be unlikely candidates for the desired outcome - ADBE, INTU, WIRE/ATK combo, HEI/TDG combo, ZTS, BX, LVMUY?

Q: Hi, I was wondering if I can get your opinion on these stocks I'm holding losses on ATZ down 50%, ENPH down 25%, CROX down 25% and GSY down 20%.
I did tax loss selling last year in late December which bit me hard when the stocks took off in January with me sitting on the sidelines. Should I consider selling any of these now with the intention of buying back in 30 days and harvesting the tax loss? If so which would you suggest selling and which would you buy back? Short of that would you suggest averaging down on any of these instead? Thanks in advance! Take as many credits as you wish.

I know quite many stocks in one question but for a senior over 75 I find hard to take advantage of portfolio analytics as I am not tech savvy.

What 5 US and 5 CDN positions, in your opinion are very much out of favour right now but have quality fundamentals with an excellent chance for share appreciation over the next 3 years?

Q: Hello 5i,

We currently have 1% positions in AXON, CROX, LNTH, TGLS, and INMD. All are up 5%-60% currently. We are considering adding 1% positions in WIRE, BOOT, AMCR & 2% in IJH.
We are in the 63-65 age range and do not required the funds for 5-10 years. Do you have any concerns or comments on this strategy?

Q: Hi All at 5i! I own both of these stocks and now having broken even I would like to sell them. Do you think they have strong potential growth?? If so I may reconsider. If not, could you suggest some good solid US alternatives … not necessarily proxies.

Q: In a US $ registered acct with a growth tilt, equities that we hold in a 'smaller' % (1%-2.5% range) of total portfolio are as follows: ADBE, BKNG, CROX CRWD, META, SMCI . Would you put new money into any of these ? At what price ? And what approximate % of a total portfolio would you go up to for any of them ?

Q: QCOM is not expensive and their financials look OK but it has been going sideways for some time and has not participated in the most recent rally. Would you consider letting it go and can you suggest another US company with momentum?

Q: Can you list out a 5 securities (US or Canada) which you feel are mispriced (ie. where the price is substantially lower than its true value)? I know folks that 5i are generally growth investors, but also know that Warren Buffet's approach is also widely respected.

Q: Peter and crew; I currently hold positions in both CIBC and TORONTO Dominion banks. Both have sat in my portfolio to give balance to a tech heavy US investment program. As a growth investor my thinking is to sell both banks, and add to my U S stocks. Can you share with me your one year opinion on Canadian banks and as well suggest 3 or 4 US growth stocks for a1 to 5 year hold.. I have a fairly high risk tolerance and patience
