Q: Good day,

What are your outlooks for OLED and ZWP? I bought OLED some time ago and figured their patent library should have caused some movement with everybody going OLED these days... And with ZWP, do you see a recovery coming? Or is it still a sit and wait?

I've been watching DE on and off for some time, and they seem to continue to act on what drew me to them in the first place. Are they a buy right now? Anything else you would suggest in its place? (I have ATS after a previous question)

BIP seems pretty beat up, are they a buy for you now? Or would you still suggest BN? In a registered account, is BIP better than BIPC? Would you move from BIP to BIPC as they come closer to par?

Thanks!

Q: Hello
I thought it would be good to diversify and collect some extra income from European High Yield companies. Turns out a war in Europe is not good for stocks or currencies.

I hold both hedged and unhedged in equal amounts and see the 7% performance delta due to currency. By the Math (currency move) it is clear a trade out of currency hedged and into currency exposed would be favorable in advance of any recovery of Euro and Stirling.

I don't make Bets. The switch is a bet on Euro and Stirling recovering former glory.

Would you sit on current holdings with both exposures? Move to currency exposure? Or just get out of European companies.

Thanks

YTD August

ZWP..... - 14.99 % (currency exposed)
ZWE..... - 7.56 %

Q: For European blue chip exposure with attractive yield, CDN domiciled, for an income account, is ZWP the only/best option or are there alternative on the CDN exchange.

Looking for an etf with close to 1b in assets, with blue chip holdings, a minimum 3% yield to compliment a long term retirement income account

Q: Notice this is trading approximately 3% higher than its 52 week low. Pays a healthy dividend over 6%. Given the situation in the Ukraine, think now is a good time to jump in for the dividend (I am mostly interested in income) or is it possible the dividend may be cut ? If not, what would you see as an attractive entry point and do you feel the dividend should be safe longer term (and I assume you agree this situation with Russia will get fixed in the next 60-90 days).

Q: Hello 5i team, curious to know your thoughts about covered call ETFs, and whether they provide any interesting opportunities for portfolio diversification/hedging. If yes, would appreciate any suggested ETFs for Canadian, US and more international exposure. Thank you!

Q: I would like to diversify a little more internationally in the coming year. I was looking at these two ETFs EZA and ZWP for a combination of yield from ZWP, and growth and yield with EZA. Naspers, I believe has a large interest in Tencent and has not followed the SP growth to the same extent so I am thinking this might be a good way to play this within an ETF. Could I please have your thoughts or other recommendations to expand internationally?
Thank you

Q: Good morning 5i
In a recent question asking what regions you might underweight you mentionned that you were agnostic on Europe. I have been concerned about Europe myself. But, i need to increase the foreign content in my portfolio and this is where it is lacking. How would you approach this under current conditions. Thanks fort he great service, as always

Q: Hi Peter/Ryan
I am in the dog house on listed stocks in my registered accounts (RRSP/TFSA/RESP). For TOY and TSGI , I will wait for your review in Q&A section. As part of cleaning up portfolio would you keep these or if not then replace with which stocks? Money requirement and risk is not an issue.

Value your opinion. Thanks

Q: Hello,
Needing confirmation about withholding taxes.

European/International stocks are held in a Canadian "wrapper" within TAXABLE account then some websites say we can get dividend tax credit and others say we cannot. Confused.

For which type of account account should I buy above two holdings where dividend taxes can be mitigated?

Thanks!
