Q: To my big surprise the monthly income from XDIV is classified as "interests" income at BMO Investorline and not as dividends income. A T5 slip will confirm this in a few weeks but in your view should it be interest or dividend? Thanks.

Q: I am a retired senior in his mid 70s and looking for monthly dividend income. I am looking for your opinion on this particular ETF to see if it would fit the bill. The etf I am looking for would have to be low to med risk and carry a descent monthly dividend, and have low fees. One of my concerns with this etf is diversification as it appears to only hold 20 stocks. Your opinion on this etf or any other one that would fit the bill would be appreciated. Thank you.

- BMO Low Volatility Canadian Equity ETF (ZLB)
- iShares Core MSCI Canadian Quality Dividend Index ETF (XDIV)
Q: Good evening 5i,
I have held ZLB for some time and while happy with the holding as part of my portfolio, I am considering a switch to HDIV. It would continue to be a long term hold.
Based on past perfromance, I don't see that the ZLB provides that much less volatility protection over HDIV to justify the higher fees and lower yield.
I would certainly appreicate your thoughts.
Thanks

Q: Good morning team, I’m contributing to a non registered account for the first time as I’m maxed out in my tfsa and rrsp. My goal is to invest in dividend paying etfs and select dividend stocks while trying to take advantage of the dividend tax credit. I’m looking for yields north of 4%. XDIV looks good to me so far. How would HDIV and HYLD be taxed? Thoughts and suggestions? Thanks

Q: I am thinking about moving some of my portfolio to ETF's, and when I looked at CDZ holdings, I was surprised to see FSZ as their top holding - a stock you have recently seen as a sell. Do you have any suggestions for a Canadian ETF that is more about great companies with a growing Dividend and not so heavy in Financials and Telcos? Thank You!
Q: Hello, I would like your opinion on XDIV, in contrast to others like XEI, ZDV, CDZ, etc. It is a concentrated dividend etf, is it a good thing or not? I like the MER…Thanks.

Q: Can I please get your opinion on this ETF for dividends and some growth. It seems to me this fund used to be nicely balanced with about 40 stocks all equally weighted and balanced sector wise. 20 US and 20 CAD holdings. Also the AUM looks to have decreased. The holdings and breakdown look much less appealing now, being overweight financials and energy not that different than any other Canadian div etf. thoughts and replacement options.
Thank you!
Thank you!
