Q: Hi there,

I am looking to consolidate and sell some stocks. I have listed my stocks that are not performing and would rather invest elsewhere.

Any of the above stocks recommended to hold / sell?

Thanks in advance.

Q: Hi, I have 2% position of SHOP in my TFSA while my XBC (down 60%) and WELL (down 6%) are 1% positions. I've been waiting on XBC and WELL but am also tempted to sell both and up my position in SHOP. How would you rank the three in terms of growth potential? Unless XBC and WELL are potential home runs then it seems wise to consolidate...
thanks,
Mark

Q: I own these companies, some are doing great, and some I'm waiting to get my money back. I just sold TC energy, not really liking the direction it was heading and was thinking of buying enbridge. Did I do a mistake? Should I rebuy it? I'm looking for a 1 year hold. Or should I buy something different? In that case what do you recommend?
Thanks

Q: Hi 5i
In watching the performance of my TFSA, I am not liking the 2020/2021 performance direction and momentum.

The combination of 2020/2021 has been dreadful for holdings such as USA, XBC, STC and QST.....and has significantly affected total portfolio performance.
In the mix are also TF, AQN and FSZ; all for income but was expecting some level of growth.
It was good to be holding ECN but the % was too low to make significant benefit.

With QST and USA both down 60% from original purchase, does one just continue to hold for performance recovery; Business fundamentals and potential take-out (QST) and mine performance and silver price recovery (USA)?

Making a switch from one horse to other has rarely worked for me. Does any of the companies make you say sell and move on or just hold through the already low price positions?

XBC is obviously not expected to reach $11.00 any time soon as the company no longer looks like the one that reached $11.00 earlier this year. They have a good business mix in segments that make sense today. Does one just hold on for Management to get their act together and run off the negatively contributing contracts?

Q: I sold my position in XBC almost 30 days ago, and I am eligible to re-purchase with a crystallized loss on Aug. 19 (next Thursday). XBC has dropped about 20% since my sale, but after reading their comments from their recent quarerly results, it does seem that they are executing on their strategic plan on multiple fronts (e.g. demand for their BioStream products, progress on their HyGear initiative for hydrogen production). I plan to ultimately re-purchase XBC: would the current discount be favourable enough to re-assume a position, or should I hold back and wait through a purchase of another proxy? You had suggested GRN in my last question, and to my detriment, I was too slow to act. I see my alternatives as follows:

- Purchase XBC on the 19th, and hold
- Maintain the cash position liberated by the sale and observe XBC for the time being
- Purchase a proxy (either GRN or alternative, possibly CMC) with the cash position, and continue to watch XBC to determine where price consolidation is ultimately established

As always, I appreciate your thoughts, even if I am slow to act upon them at times. Membership has definitely made a substantial and positive impact on my portfolio! I have already recommended your service to friends who have since become new members, and I continue to do so. I have not come across another service that rivals yours, and I feel that your company is a shining example of how capitalism creates opportunity for enterprising people to enrich the lives of others through ingenuity and dedication to their endeavours. For those who are wondering, yes, I always sound like this! :)

Thanks again!

Q: AngloGold offered to buy out Corvus Gold at $4 a share. In you opinion is it a fair price? Since then the management said will steady the offer but no more new come out. Are they still talking behind close door for a better price?

XBC keeps dropping is it worth to keep the stock or should looks else where?
Thanks, Alec

Q: Hi, you responded to a question stating that XBC needs to show the market it has the ability to execute. They were able to generate sales growth, but what needs to be shown is that they can generate a profit from these sales. Is their explanation reasonable that honoring past contracts has affected profitability but they now have an improved implementation model? I believe this is a good space to invest in and this company has the potential to be a Canadian success story, but would appreciate additional comments from 5i regarding their go forward operations strategy.
Are their other parts of this company that raise concern with investors besides what I have mentioned above? Thanks.

Can you please rank the following stocks for a new purchase and a 5-year hold, OR rank your top 5 in order if that is easier?

PINS, MED, VEEV, FVRR, DD, AI, SHOP, NIO, AC, STC, XBC, TIXT, TOI

Thank you for your insight.

Cheers,
Debbie and Jerry
