Q: Hello. Photon Controls, my largest holding, held up well this past week with an offer pending. Would you recommend keeping some (or all) PHO on the chance of a higher bid? Will you recommend 5 Canadian growth non-tech stocks to replace some or all of PHO today? I have several US and CAD tech companies now. Thanks to all for your help with investing!

- Photon Control Inc. (PHO)
- WELL Health Technologies Corp. (WELL)
- Converge Technology Solutions Corp. (CTS)
- Quisitive Technology Solutions Inc. (QUIS)
Q: With the down turn in tech stocks, I am thinking of sellimg my Photon and replacing it with QUIS, CTS, and WELL. I t looks like the price of Photon will not go up much more that 3.60 and perhaps these stocks can benefit from the correction they are in. I figure that I might as well put the money and great profits (200%) to work in these potential gainers. What do you think of this switch.

Q: My understanding is that shareholders of PHO will receive$3.60 per share if the buyout goes through. is there any reason to hold onto Pho right now given that the buyout is for $3.60 and this is what other traders seem to be willing to pay right now? there were a lot of asks vs bids today. I'm not sure why someone would want to buy Pho knowing that the maximum they will receive is $3.60. can you please shed some light on this?
thanks for your help

Q: What is your take on the $3.60 offer buyout? I know you feel it’s low but do you think other offers might materialize or could the existing offer be increased if shareholder sentiment isn’t supportive? What are the odds of a higher offer coming to the table and the odds of the deal totalling collapsing? When might be the timing be of these events, if they come about?
Q: Photon was trading above $3.60 yesterday. Should shareholders who think the offer is too low try to sell at a point above $3.60 in the near future or hold and hope that it the acquisition gets rejected (and vote against it)?
Q: MKS instruments has an agreement with PHO to purchase their company for an all cash agreement to be finalized by September.. What does this mean for the shareholders?
Q: PHO Should we wait for a higher offer or sell as it is dead money and is trading at the take out price? Which stocks would be a good replacement either in Canada or US with the same risk profile as PHO?
Thank you for your service!

Q: With regards to the purchase of PHO, would your advice be to sit tight and wait to see what happens?
Thanks
Dave.

Q: Hi Peter, What's your opinion of the all cash offer from MKS?
$387M seems low for a company in a growth industry with no debt & $44.2M cash

Q: Please provide your comments on their earnings. Do you see any potential for future growth? How likely is it that Apple will actually pay? I am thinking of selling and adding to Photon. Would this be a good move? Thank you.
- Photon Control Inc. (PHO)
- NFI Group Inc. (NFI)
- Stingray Group Inc. Subordinate Voting Shares (RAY.A)
Q: I hold RAY.A in 2 of my accounts for 18+ months now, not gone anyway just steady with 5% change and DIV, would it be good move to sell RAY.A and add to my existing holding in NFI or PHO, I am already 80% up on PHO with fairly (very) large position
Q: Would you characterize these companies as speculative and best suited for ones higher risk portfolio account?
- Photon Control Inc. (PHO)
- CCL Industries Inc. Unlimited Class B Non-Voting Shares (CCL.B)
- ATS Corporation (ATS)
- Savaria Corporation (SIS)
- WELL Health Technologies Corp. (WELL)
- Boyd Group Services Inc. (BYD)
Q: In a growth portfolio, which two of the above would you add to today?
Thanks for your opinion.
Thanks for your opinion.
Q: I am thinking of selling Score and investing that money in Photon. Your opinion??
Thanks.
Thanks.
Q: Does the current chip shortage directly help Photons bottom line or do they purchase chips and then produce a specialized (niche) chip as their product. Thus higher chip prices would not help their bottom line.
Thanks
Thanks

From what I can gather you prefer NVDA to AMD and would suggest one of either SHOP or LSPD. Is this accurate? Other suggestions or ideas to pair down?
Thank you very much

Q: For a stock price to double in 5 years requires an average gain of about 15% compounded, annually. Would you please rank these 12 stocks in order for the likelihood, in your opinion, they will double in price in the next 5 years. Roughly how many of these 12 would you expect to achieve that target? Assuming no major long term market melt down which would preclude good stock performance over this period. CTS, DCBO, DND, DOO, ECN, GOOS, GSY, KXS, MG, NVEI, PHO, TIXT.
