Q: I dont understand when PHO says ""The industry is witnessing significantly curtailed investments in the memory sector, which are expected to persist for the foreseeable future" , then I look at the chart of SOXX that until recently has been straight up year to date. Was SOXX oversold that bad and investors are ahead of the curve or is PHO making excuses? Just a point on the comment from PHO, I appreciate companies not being over promotional, but using a phrase like " foreseeable future" seems to me the opposite of promotional.

Q: Hello Sages,

Between PHO and COV which one do like for a double first and which one gets bought out first?

As well I took a position on ATS on the way down, and it has finally churned higher. If I were to sell, would you wait until after the quarterly release or let it go now. No rush, and no need for the cash, just making a trade.

Thanks,

KC

Q: Hello Peter and gang
What can you say about IHI, it seems to be pretty good over a 10 year period. Is there any other etf in the same field. Is there a Canadian version?
What are you expecting the quarterly report to be for TFII. Is this a good long term hold.
Is it time to jump into PHO. Held it before and did well. Is this a good time to jump back in.

thank you
Ken and Cindy

Q: Hi guys, thanks for the excellent service and continued improvements. I find the new Portfolio Analytics section very helpful. Long winded question here so please deduct as many credits as you see fit.

I am overweight in tech, at 40% overall. I have 40% tech in both my RRSP and TFSA.

The biggest names I have are AAPL 9%, TEAM 6%, and NVDA 6%. All of those are held in the US side of my RRSP.

I have a mix of 15 stocks in my TFSA, roughly equal weighting. The tech holdings in there are PHO, KXS, CSU, SYZ, SHOP. Each comprises about 6% of the TFSA but just over 1% of overall holdings.

I am 7-8% underweight in:
consumer defensive,
communication services,
industrials,
utilities.

I feel I should trim back or sell at least one of AAPL, TEAM or NVDA but hard to given they have all been growing and have potential to grow further. Are there any obvious choices to cut or pull back here? Can you please suggest at least one name from each of the following sectors:
consumer defensive,
communication services,
industrials,
utilities.

thanks !
Mark

Please kindly advise if any of the above holdings require chopping or double down and rank them in priority ? Please deduct deduct my question credits as you see fit. Thank you very much.

Q: Thanks to portolio analytics I am cleaning up my portfolio. I am looking at consolidating PHO and TSGI into one position. Which would you keep? Very long time horizon.

Also looking at adding to either DOO or TOY in our TFSA. which do you prefer?

Q: I own PHO at 2 % weight and under water on this stock. From your comments it may not do much this year. Should I wait to see if the stock improves on their earnings or it is ok to buy to a 3% weight ? I am also looking at buying at PEO.V even though a different sector, I am putting money in the RRSP each month so could buy PEO now and more of PHO at a later date.
Thanks

Q: I hold the following technology companies for a 31.66% weighting in my portfolio. I need to reduce this to a maximum weighting of 20%. Given the holdings are long term, and I wish a balance between stability and aggressive growth in this sector, which of the above companies would you cut down or eliminate to achieve this goal? Current individual weights are; CSU 4.88%, GOOGL 4.94%, AAPL 4.8%,GIB.A 3.2%, SHOP 2.57%, PHO 2.56%,MU 3.27%, NVDA 3.22%, KXS 2.21%.
