Q: Questions about two companies but with the same overriding issue - what to do when a company you liked, and continue to like, has dropped to become a smallish portion in your portfolio i.e. >2%. I try to maintain a focused portfolio but in both cases, these stocks have fallen due to their lack of performance while the rest of the portfolio has continued to perform. Is it best to top each up to at least a 2% - 2 1/2% position, just leave them or sell either/both?

I appreciate your insight.

Q: hi folks, opinion on Q3 results for Photon Control; seemed to be beat with upbeat guidance. Did U have chance to listen to conference call. I added today to small position and knows it requires patience, but do U think the worst is behind Photon/Semi conductors, and would U rate the stock a Buy/Hold/Sell. Thanks as always jb, Piedmont QC PS: I check "Public Question" but response comes back as "Private Question"...am I doing something wrong??

Q: As the SOXX, iShares PHLX Semiconductor ETF is approaching it's all time high, PHO is bouncing along close to it's 52 week low. I understand the lag in spending from the semi companies showing up in PHO earnings, though it seems to me investors are paying up for forward earnings in semi companies but not PHO? Are similar companies to PHO experiencing the same fate or is this company specific? Do you have examples of similar companies to share?
