Q: What 5 stocks either USA or Canadian would you feel could be good shorts prospects if we get a full blown Tariff war

Q: Nutrien (NTR:CA) shares have steadily dropped about 43% over the last 3 years, so what is the prognosis going forward?
I'm missing something.
Since the USA apparently buys approximately 85-90% of their potash from Canada and the alternative supply is overseas, isn't this a captive market?
Why doesn't Nutrien (assuming it to be the biggest potash player in Canada) increase the price to build value and increase the share price?

Q: I have done good with ala, have a good capital gain in my tsfa, I wnt to sell it and guy something else, the yield is down to about 3%, I don't see a lot of upside in the dividend, thinking of buying sobo, their yield 7 %, I have a lot in pipelines have have done well with them, what say you, do have over stocks that you would suggest, looking for yield, and I have lots in the banks already

Q: How much likelihood do you see that some key Canadian resources are sourced in Eastern Europe by the Americans if the Ukraine war should resolve soon? Notably potash from Belarus, uranium from Russia and Aliminum from Ukraine, potentially including others I may know less.

Q: Greetings 5i, I need to raise some cash and looking at either Teck or Nutrien. Based on medium term prospects which one would you sell? Would appreciate if you can provide a brief explanation in terms of reasons to keep vs sell for each. Thank you.

Q: Based on today’s environment is NTR a sell? The materials sector is pretty diverse, are there two or three CDN companies that you would have a high degree of confidence would outperform just holding XMA for materials exposure? Or would you steer clear of Canada altogether, and if so, applying the same criteria suggest two or three U.S companies that could outperform XLB in the near term.

First off and maybe you have already answered this question previously but how do you think this "Tariff War" might play out after the bluff and bluster has completely settled down ?
Also, how do you think that across the board tariffs would effect PSI, NTR, and SIS in the short and medium term ??

Q: I am underwater significantly (-20 %to 30%) on the above 5 companies. I have a well balanced portfolio so am looking to either sell the above and replace them or add to them. Can you please give me your thoughts on which ones you would ditch and which ones (if any) you would add to. Q: Can I get your thoughts on Capstone please? Seems to keep dropping and now with talk of tariffs and maybe smaller AI infrastructure, it’s not looking great. Would you still hold here? If not, do you have another recommendation for materials sector? CAD or US? My only other one in this sector is Agnico Eagle.

I have some substantial cash to deploy, ideally into Canadian dividend payers at 4% or more. I already have many of the usual suspects, including the following: ENB, BCE, PPL, BNS, CM, LIF, SIA, T, LIF, BEP.UN, DIR.UN, FSZ
I have been waiting until the December sell-off (i.e. Benj Gallander’s suggestion that it is the best time to buy), hoping to find some that have made the sell list that are good candidates for bounce backs in the future. After observing the market in the early stages of tax-loss selling, would you have some names that might fit that bill? Ideally maybe 5 or 6, although I realize that is a tall order, perhaps! Again, I am seeking dividend paying Canadian equities paying 4% or more.

Q: hi, I am down on all these names. I am considering adding to (some of?) them. I am looking for some growth in share price ( to match or beat inflation ) and a consistent growing dividend ( matching or beating inflation ). I also don't want to end up with another AQN or BCE scenario. could you kindly give us your advice on these names and include your thoughts on whether they are a buy (add to ), sell, or hold please.
