I have had a 1% position in NEO for quite a while. It is has recovered a lot this last year but it is just above where it was back in 2018. With all the talk of a expanding onshore production of keep compounds/components, the shortage of rare earth minerals and the future with renewable energy I would have thought NEO would have performed even better. What do you see in NEO's future e.g. is the business unique and scaleable? do you see the company as having margin & pricing power going forward (or is it like any other commodity play), do you see it as a company that has a good runway ahead of itself and thus can increase it's market cap? Finally in terms of increasing my position, do you see it as fully valued at 19.29, or do you see value at this level and might add to it up to 2% weight?
Q: Have some cash to purchase one or two companies in my TFSA. Am wondering about CTS or PKK. What is your opinion of these 2, which would you prefer and why?
An alternative would be to add to a couple recent purchases that I have I/2 positions in. These are ATZ, TIXT, NEO.
I await your guidance and please take the appropriate # of credits, I know this is more than one credit.
Again many thanks for your guidance.
John
Q: Hello. Any recommendations for small/micro cap uranium plays (top 5?) if one wanted to take advantage of increasing uranium prices? A few comments on each if possible. Thank you.
Q: Baught NEO at $20.08 on May 3rd and has since been going down, Should I hold on or get out, the last financial report was very good.
Thanks for the insight.
With a positive supply-demand picture that is set to grow more bullish over the longer term (do you agree?), could you please evaluate the above rare earth miners/processors? Would you recommend any at this time?
I am specifically looking for good balance sheet (debt/cash flow), shareholder friendly management, and meaningful high growth, irrespective of trade issues with China. Finally, are the any rare earth processers in the western hemisphere at all? Any of the above companies looking into building one?
Q: Hello Peter,
What is your view on the earnings for both MP materials and neo performance in the rare earth space? Also, why did MP materials take such a big hit today (more than 15 percent). Is it a good time to add to MP as this might be short lived? Thanks very much.
Q: Hello 5i
It appears to me the big drop in the price of MP Materials today is related to some inside selling at a price of $35.00. Do you see this as a good time to initiate a position?
Also do you prefer NEO or MP?
Thank you so much!
Dave
Q: Could I get your opinion on why NEO started out very positive on the earnings this morning and then went very negative? Am I missing something.
What’s your analysis of the company?
Thanks for hopefully clearing this up for me.
John

Q: I would like your analysis and opinion on both companies and what your thoughts are on them as a more speculative buy. How are they situated financially and is their product something that could be in demand? I believe NEO does have a dividend.
Thank you John
Q: Do you have any suggestion for rare earth metal plays? Is it a sector with good potential? Also is cobalt an important industrial metal for batteries? Thank you.
Q: With the possible turnaround of traveling later in 2021 would sabre be worhtwhile investing. It was a 24,00 US stock but now trades around $12.00 and they are reservation company for airlines, hotels. Also with Biden adm. signing of mining materials would NEO (canadian) for ev be ok.They seem to be part of of MP for rare earth minerals. For growth 1 to 2 yrs Tks 5I use as many credits needed
Q: My Materials sector needs to be increased to about 10% of portfolio - currently I have only 1.3% - all held in KL (underwater 15%).
I note you have ccl.b in the Balanced Portfolio but it does not seem to be in your recent recommendations for Materials ? ?
At the moment my shopping list looks like this:
LUN, IVN, ERO, NEO, NTR, RS, FCX, XGD ( Sell KL ??) , CCL.b ??
Would appreciate your assessment and comments and suggestions for alternatives. Dividend not necessary.
Use whatever number of question credits req'd. Thanks as always.
Q: I am a holder Neo Performance and it has moved very well recently. The CEO bought in a little while ago in front of this move. What is the cause of this? Do you see it continuing?
Thanks, Doug
Q: Mp Materials, a recently listed rare earth metals company, have reported earnings. Do you see this stock, at current valuation, as a good opportunity for investing in this important commodity? Any other speculative options in rare earth space? Thanks
