Q: Hello Team 5i & Everyone!

I occasionally listen to Lance Robert's posts. Today was one of those days and anyone worried about the software sector may find part of this video interesting to watch. He answers a question from his audience about A.I. and the sell off in software stocks at the 15 minute mark approximately.

Q: What are your thoughts on how overvalued AI stocks are and what factors we should be concerned about that could cause the bubble to burst?

What are some good ideas for relatively safe stocks and etfs to hedge against a AI and tech weighted portfolio?

b) rank those to buy later when your price points realized
c) rank those that are could be sold.
Thank you

Q: What are your thoughts on IGV? Buy, sell or hold. Is it worth holding a basket of software stocks or just sticking with Microsoft which is owned? If you were to recommend selling IGV what sector would you suggest? Tempted by energy but know late to the game. However, looking at PEs of energy companies they are still relatively cheap compared to other names. Look forward to your thoughts.

Q: What etfs cover the high growth stocks? I was reading some place that these etfs were pulling out of the tech sector and gravitating to what is now growing.

Your thoughts please.

Q: So I'm a lot less diversified than I thought and have something like 35+% of my investments in Tech. I have a good deal of money in XUS, XUU, and XAW. I thought I was getting diversification, but I didn't realize how heavily weighted in Tech (25% or more) these ETFs were. A few smaller investments (SKYY, IGV, GOOG) put me far more into the Tech space than I realized.

What's the best way to invest in broad ETFs without being so heavily invested into Tech? I feel like 20% is already a high weighting for this sector

Q: I need some help determining if/when I should sell some of my winners. I've more than doubled the money I invested in the above names and so I feel inclined to sell enough shares to recoup all/some of my initial investment. I'm worried that may be overly cautious though and I should hang onto the winners to see larger gains.

Can you outline some of the things I should be considering to help me make this call?
Is the better option to stay 'dispassionate' and just sell if any of these holdings rise well above a full position?
Given the price increases, I currently have a half-position in each of LSPD, WELL, PBX and a full position in each in SKYY and IGV.
Thanks for all the help, you have been really great guidance
Michael

Q: Looking to add more exposure to companies in technology that will help drive growth of the economy not only in the near term but long term. Things like Software, AI, 5G, IOT, Self Driving Cars, etc. With HXQ ETF the pick is more the Nasdaq 100 which will contain a number of these companies. With ARKW and IGV looking at some speciality to help in the overall growth of my technology allocation. What are the thoughts on the 3 selected or do you have others you would recommend. Looking at ETF to get some broad exposure and reduce risk of picking individual stocks. Thanks as always.

Q: Hello 5i!

Appreciate all the great work.
I am looking for a canadian as well as US listed tech ETF. And semi-conductor fund to be held in my RRSP. Diversification and of course hoping for long term growth.
Currently XIT (TFSA). Using the room in RRSP for US listed dividend stocks/ETF's. Or whichever is the most tax and growth efficient.

I'm wondering what your top picks are in that sector and why? One concern of mine is some have a much higher mer. Is that worth the performance in the long run?

Or better bang for your buck on keeping fees low as usual and the most diverse fund. Company and cap wise. Hence holding a primarily large cap and semi conductor. Or just 1 solid all around.

If I'm missing a far better pick please enlighten me.

Thank you for putting together such a great site and program. Info is fantastic.

Q: Hi there, between the 3 of these ETFs, which would you recommend for a balance of growth and stability? Or alternatively, would you recommend simply purchased QQQ or ZQQ/XQQ? Do you see software as a continue growth theme into the future and what is your opinion on the sector? Thank you!
