Q: What US stocks would you recommend to reduce volatility of a portfolio which is overweight on US growth stocks (mostly IT)? Looking for dividend payers, which are expected to grow at a moderate pace and are reasonable priced for that growth.

Q: I am short on Consumer Stocks in my overall portfolio - can you give me some names to look at, both in the US and Canada - I'm interested in those that pay a dividend and are growing.
Appreciate you comments.

Q: I am interested in investing USD in US companies in the consumer food sector(CPG) and specifically looking at Sysco and Lamb Weston. Both have decreased recently. Can you provide some insight and opinion on investing in these two and is now a good time or should I wait? As a separate question, would you recommend other US stocks or ETF in this space?
Thanks again and Happy Holidays to all at 5i ! John C.

Q: SAFM released the 3rd qtr results today which were underwhelming. I can understand a slight decline in sales but there must be something in the expenses which was not explained in the release. The company has been disappointing for several qtrs now. Your thoughts about this company going forward will be appreciated.

Regards
Ian

Q: I wish I had taken you more seriously in September when you said that Newell is "in general is not a company we would be overly interested in."
Now, based on your recent comments, and it's disaster quarterly report, I am ready to sell and lick my wounds. Would you agree?
Can you give a couple of suggestions for replacement in the consumer goods or health care space. I am looking for growth alone or growth plus income.
Thanks in advance for your great advice.

Q: Hi,

Sanderson farms has taken quite a dive over the past two weeks, dropping approx 17 dollars. My sources indicate two analyst downgrades in that span. Have the fundamentals changed? Do you still like the company longterm, or would you be inclined to take profits?
Any additional insight would be appreciated
Thank you
Karim

Q: I bought Kraft Heinz a couple of years ago when it was just Kraft and the merger with Heinz has resulted in a good price increase. The dividend is OK at 3.23%, (but not stellar) and I am up 32%, but the chart for the last year doesn't look promising.

What are your thoughts on KHC going forward? Any other recommendations in the same sector in the US or internationally with better chance of growth and/or higher dividend?
