Q: I have been watching AYX, NVDA and ROKU for a while, but haven't bought any of them yet. If you were to buy them today, please rank 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in the order that you would buy them.

According to RBC, ROKU has 118.1 M shares, and of that only 64.235 M are floating shares. The short interest is about 14% of the float. On Friday Feb 14th, the volume of shares traded was 63.1 M. That's 98.2% of the floating shares were traded. Can you help me understand what this information can tell you? On the surface every floating share was traded, but really some shares were traded multiple times throughout the day. When the volume of trading is this high compared to the float, what does this trading pattern indicate?

Q: Hi 5iR team, Many brokerage houses start each New Year by attempting to consolidate their best stock ideas for the year in a comprehensive list.....their Conviction List. I'm wondering if I may ask 51R to do the same? If I was to canvas the 5iR Staff stock experts what would the majority agree on to be your best 5 stock ideas, give or take a few, for 2020? Thanks team. Chris

Q: Roku reports on Feb. 13 and it has beat estimates constantly since the 4th quarter of 2018 and so, I read some projections about what they are expected to report but a lot of those numbers don't mean a lot to me and so what I would like to know is it projected to have another good quarter?
GIB (CGI) Recently another member was asking whether this was a good buy with the pull back and you didn't seem too hot on it. BNN guest today also didn't seem too hot on it. What would be a good replacement for it? Thanks for your good service Dennis

Q: I bought Roku a few months ago in my rrsp and resp and have lost money since. Do you still like this name? I don’t know whether to sell it now and take the loss or see how it goes when it report, although I’m worried about a big pullback of expectations are not met. I only want to own stocks that are going up and if they aren’t going up anymore, I get a strong feeling not to own them. Thanks.

Q: Guys...I have some room in my portfolio for a few high risk, high reward stocks. Can you give me one or two from Canada and the U.S. that you like currently...this is long term money...doesn't have to be on your model portfolios either...thx

Q: I have some consumer disc and staples stocks, but I am looking for a few USD with some momentum. Could you suggest a five or more, best to last that I can explore? Many thanks for all you do.

Q: I am now over 7% with SHOP, thinking of trimming back to 4% or so (not the first time I have trimmed back, thanks 5I!) and buying more ROKU to which I am currently at 2.5%. I am heavy in tech and a little low in communication as is although I am not too concerned with the sector balance at this point. I also do not mind holding to 8%

Q: I am wondering what your 5-6 best TFSA contrib ideas are for where we are in this market. I am kinda a guy who favours a thematic approach to investing as opposed to buying a roll-up-er like CSU or ATD. I'm looking to buy a name today that is good & getting better and hopefully one that will bear a lot of fruit in 3-5 years. Happy New Year!

Q: I took a 1/2 position in ROKU a couple of weeks ago intending to hold for the long term. I am well represented in the sector already, but it was more of a growth move with some US cash I had sitting there. I'm now down 10% and the CFO has just stepped down, so I'm wondering if I should just cut my loss and wait to see what it does in the next few months, or if you think there is still good reason to hold. Thak-you!
