Q: Looking at the recent weakness in the growth stocks above, my first question is whether you'd begin considering initiating positions in them, my second is how would you rank them and my last is why you would choose that order. Thanks in advance!

Q: I held a smallish position in Canada Goose, and was getting less optimistic about sales growth, particularly in China, and sold half early in 2021 at about $53. Obviously should have sold all of it.
Today's results were disappointing with regard to the outlook.

(1)Wondering what you think of the GOOS results.

(2) If I sell the remaining GOOS shares, I would add to an existing smallish position in one of Pollard Banknote, Park Lawn or Trisura. How would you rank these 4 companies, GOOS, PBL, PLC, TSU, as part of a balanced portfolio with a tolerance for risk?

Q: Hi,
If I already own SLF, would it be too much overlap to also buy some TSU? I know they are both insurance but somewhat different? If I wanted more growth, would I lean towards TSU and if I wanted less growth and more stability, lean towards SLF? How does the valuation and growth prospects compare to each other going forward? Thanks!

Q: What are your three highest conviction growth stocks from your Growth Portfolio at this time. This for a long term medium to higher risk for my TSFA. I already have all the stocks in the Balanced Portfolio.

Q: In a response to Craig on 19 Jan you stated that "Without reference to goals or risk, we would side with the significantly larger and more diversified BAMR". TD Waterhouse lists the market cap for BAMR at $534 million whereas TSU is listed at $1.8 billion. However I see that on your profile page you list BAMR at $1.93 billion, only slightly higher than TSU.

Q: Disregarding objectives/diversification etc, how would you rank these companies in order of buying right now (for steady growth)? If you think any (or all) should not be bought currently, just omit from your ordering. Thank you!

Q: Looking at some Canadian companies that are involved in various aspects of consumer activity such as retail, investing, borrowing. Please rate each of the following on a scale of 1-10 for desirability for a 5+ year hold in a well diversified portfolio. Looking for good total return with a higher than average tolerance for share price volatility. These would not be core positions. CF, EQB, GOOS, NFI, PBI, PLC, TSU, TOY, ZZZ.

Q: Hi,
Looking to add a small/mid-cap Cdn insurance company, either pure P&C or a specialty/reinsurer. (already own a lifeco and banks). A 3-4 year hold planned, in my TFSA.
Which do you feel has more promise for growth, and have you been hearing of any potential acquisitions for either?
DFY has no history as a public company, so it's not likely to make it into your Growth portfolio any time soon. TSU is already there.
THX.

Q: So I looked at my returns at the end of July and my TFSA was up 39% in 7 months. I'd have taken that as a decent return over 48 to 60 months. So early this week before the DnD acquisition and the Nuvei short report I sold DCBO, DnD, LSPD , because my 39% return was nullified. My thought was to add 3 of the 4 TOI,TSU,TFII,or TCN . Should I add 3 of the 4 and top up KXS and GSY in the new year or add all 4 of the T's?

Q: Hello,
I thought Nvei's results were very good. Why is the stock tumbling? Would you add at this time to Nuvei for full position of 5 percent? What are your thoughts on ATS automation and Trisura and Auto Canada for longer term? Also with big push on EVs, would it be a good time to buy NFI? Thank you for the service.
