Q: These 4 equities are my top 4 poor performers with a 50-57% unrealized loss. CFP is a 1% position, TSGI is 2%, WCP is 0.5%, COV also 0.5%. I am debating going to a half position on TSGI and pick up AQN. Or maybe dump TSGI all together. I'm not sure what to do with the rest to try and regain some losses here. That said, it seems COV and TSGI have potential as a long term holding but for me it would be to recover losses. Anything you guys can recommend? Thanks

Q: I have a buy order for Covalon at $3.89 since Q2 2019 earnings and stock doesn't seem to be hitting below $4. If company don't see one time charges in Q3 2019, I am assuming they will be profitable. I don't want to miss this opportunity but stock over $4 seems expensive to me. Management is great since insiders hold over 50% of stock. Should I pull a trigger over $4 or wait for the price to come down? My time frame is 12 months.

Q: I have some cash to add to a small growth , non-registered portfolio, holding TSGI, SYz, COV . Looking at MCR or PHO . Would you recommend either of these or would you suggest an alternative. Or would you prefer just adding to one of the 3 existing ones.
Many thanks as always.

Q: Hello Sages,

Between PHO and COV which one do like for a double first and which one gets bought out first?

As well I took a position on ATS on the way down, and it has finally churned higher. If I were to sell, would you wait until after the quarterly release or let it go now. No rush, and no need for the cash, just making a trade.

Thanks,

KC

Q: With the guiding lights of 5iResearch, my portfolio value has reached all time high. I would like to express my deep gratitude to Mr.Hodson and his team for the great service, knowledge, education and support.
I am a DIY concentrated, unbalanced, buy and hold investor. Not all of my holding stocks fared so well and contemplate a Spring Weed Out. My losing stocks are namely TSGI (-47%, 2% of portfolio), TCL.a (-45%, 0.6%), IQ (-30%, 0.4%), PHO (-25%, 1.1%), COV (-13.5%, 1%), GUD (-7.4%, 2.5%), TOY (-5.1%, 4.5%), NFI (-4.6% 0.5%), and TV (-68%, 0.01%). Please kindly advise if any of the above holdings require chopping or double down and rank them in priority ? Please deduct deduct my question credits as you see fit. Thank you very much.

Q: Follow-up on my earlier post today relevant to a possible reason for COVALON's 10% jump in stock price: The Zacks report a COV director sent to investors this morning (as an email attachment) is dated: March 18, 2019, and was authored by Brian Marckx, CFA, with Zacks Small Cap Research. While there may be an old Zacks report out there, this one appears to be new.

Q: Jeffrey Mandel (a director on Covalon's Board) sent one of his periodic e-mails directly to COV investors. Today's message included a PDF attachment of a 25pp research document COV apparently commissioned from Zacks Small Cap Research in Chicago. Unsurprisingly, the analysis is glowing, which stated, in part, "We forecast Covalon to generate revenue and EPS of C$53.4M and C$0.13 in 2019 and C$64.5M and C$0.30 in 2020. We value Covalon using a combination of P/S and P/E methodologies. Based on analyst's revenue and EPS estimates of publicly traded companies in focused on wound care and medical supplies, infection control and vascular products, we calculate fair value of Covalon at ~C$11.2/share, or US$8.50 based on current exchange rates."

Q: Good afternoon gang
I am underwater in all of these stocks in one of my non registered accounts. I would like to sell and then buy back in 30 days or more in my TFSA or RRIF (not sure which). Do you feel any of these may pop up within that time frame? With that in mind in what order should I sell first..to last? Your suggestions will be greatly valued as always.

much thanks
