Q: I am trying to decide which ETF to purchase for an RRSP. VFV and VIG have been performing well. About a 3 year hold. Any other suggestions?

Q: I've decided to buy VIG and SCHD to increase my US portion of my portfolio. What is a fair entry point for them? I tend to wait until stocks go "on sale" but have watched these go up and up over the last few months. VIG's top holdings are Apple and Microsoft, so if the Tech sell-off continues it could go down. SCHD has not hit it's all time high but is getting close. What are your thoughts? Thanks so much!

Q: At 60 I suddenly find myself semi-retired. Although it's a few years earlier than anticipated, I'm actually pretty excited - I've used the CRA retirement calculator (an excellent tool) and have a solid plan. I do need to make a $150,000 RRSP account last until I am 70 when I plan on applying for CPP and OAS. I want to pull $18,000 per year from the RRSP account a so it does require some growth. Can you suggest a mix of US and Canadian holdings and or etf's (about 50% allocation each country) for such a scenario? Thanks so much.

Q: My niece is looking to enter the DIY investing world and move her TFSA over to an online self-directed account. Her advisor has her in these high fee accounts above. These look like funds for a retired person looking for income rather than for a 29 year looking to grow a TFSA with the goal to hopefully get a down payment for a condo some day. Q: My grandchild is turning 20 in the fall and entering the work force, has no knowledge on investing. We are going to get him to start a Tax Free Savings Account with $2,00.00 original investment then encourage him to add $50.00- $100.00/ month there after. Q: My US equities are currently split between VIG and DGRO. I am considering selling these two ETFs, and considering VTI and VFMO (Vanguard's Momentum ETF). Q: As an older investor, I am considering a gradual move from mostly individual stocks to a fully ETF portfolio. My thinking is to allow management simplicity for my wife in the event of my death or disability. Seeking dividends predominately but also a representation of growth. Q: I am looking for quality "dividend growth" focused ETF (not "high dividend" ETF) in CDA and US , with an optimal balance of sectors ( some of those ETF showing, in my vue,a disproportion of sectors, like an excess of financials (ex. 40-50%) etc..). Could you suggest your 2-3 choices in CDA and US ?

Q: I want more US exposure, but would be moving Ca $ to US $. Is it best to exchange ones cash to buy US ETFs such as VIG.US, or to buy a Ca ETF with US exposure? What would be equivalent to VIG be? Thank you.
