Q: I see from previous answers you like this company as a buy. BMO just downgraded it with a target of 4 dollars. They cited a 25% reduction in 2023 guidance and a slowdown of M/A. At the same time you have WELL as a hold which keeps raising its guidance and seems to have momentum towards profitability. What is your reasoning.

Q: 5i Team, could you comment on following related to ECN, I have a full position on ECN averaging around 10% above current levels. I plan to double down on ECN in another registered account at this level, please comment

On a scale 1 to 10 what are the chances this stock going to zero, like what happen to XBC recently
Current ECN price levels are due to market sentiment to the stock or tax loss selling
On a scale 1 (riskier) to 10 (rewarding) what do you recommend members do at this price level
Comments on interest rate and ECN margins and profit

Q: There is lots of good information in the answers to questions on ECN and it appears 5I knows the company well ..... My question is on management goals ..... They grew the company and then sold off a third of it ..... They didn't keep that money to re-invest they returned it to shareholders ..... And recently they sold off another chunk for $200 million but they kept that money in the coffers ...... How does 5I view their strategy ? It looks to me like growth is not a goal with them ..... It looks like once a business reaches a certain level sell it ...... Does management have a stated strategy ? Are they planning on buying more businesses or concentrating on organic growth ? ....... I just can't get my head around what their aims are .......

Q: 2 companies that keep coming up in your forecast of beaten down stocks ripe for recovery are ecn and gsy.i have owned gsy forever and i think most members of 5i get why gsy is a good company, mgmt etc.
but i do not really get ecn, i know steve hudson runs it and he has done it before, but why are you so high on this one as a recovery play.dave

Q: For the financial sector of a new portfolio with a minimum of a 2-3 year time-frame please rank the above listed stocks for a) maximum return and b) risk. Please add other US or CDA names that you would consider in this situation, especially for higher returns.

Thanks.

Q: I have held TOY for a number of years. It has been a frustrating ride. They have lots of cash, a great balance sheet and a seeminly strong presence in the toy industry ..... but it never seems to get the same multiples as its peers. Every once in a while it reports a decent quarter or offers encouraging guidance and a twinkle of its potential is shown, but it just never seems to build on the momentum. I hate to be selling TOY "at the bottom" if the pendulum is about to swing back hard, but I am considering selling TOY and increasing my small holding in ECN. ECN seems to be a much more shareholder friendly company with strong management who are seeing their sp under pressure as well. Which do you think has more potential for relatively safe, oversized returns over the next 5 years ? If you have concerns about both, and think there are better alternatives, where would you put your money instead?
Many Thanks

Scott
