Q: Portfolio Cleanup Part 2:
I have needed to do this for a long time. These are a list of securities I have that are within a 15% profit or loss of where I purchased them.
Which ones to do see as an Add, Hold or Sell. Can you provide a short reason why for each. Thanks
Q: Can you name two medium size and 2 small size Canadian copper mining companies trading on the TSX that in your opinion are susceptible to takeover in the next few years. Thanks
Q: Amerigo, MEG Energy, Minera Alamos, and Interfor are, with others, some of the, to me (i.e. except for Interfor) obscure company holdings of the very successful AEGIS Value fund in the U.S. Are you aware of any other commonalities among these holdings that might make them interesting?
Q: My third question today!! Hope you don't mind the blitz of questions! What's up with copper miners. The share price of the copper miners I own have moved up substantially in 2023 although copper is not up that much. I have ARG for their debt free balance sheet and juicy dividend, Lundin for a large miner with a good dividend and HBM which i tend to trade since it appears to me to be irrationally volitile. I like the copper mining space long term but I do trade portions of positions because of the extreme volitility. I am thinking of taking some profits in HBM (virtually no dividend) and keeping LUN and ARG. What do you think of this strategy? Who do you like in copper miners and why?
Q: I saw a Company Highlight Ad on BNN for Amerigo Resources (ARG) a month or 2 ago...
- I started looking into the company and was intrigued...
- Please let me know your thoughts and health of the company overall and comment on the dividend that is approx, 7.3% , - Is it sustainable?
- Long term/Short term comments would be appreciated
Q: Can you please provide your perspective of Amerigo and its most recent results. Also, electrification is real. However, infrastructure is lagging significantly to support. In a 9 inning game, what inning are we in with Copper Demand & Electrification?
Q: In light of the latest results, where they repurchased a significant number of shares, could you provide a brief review of their results and whether this quarter's release has made them a good purchase?
I am also curious as to your opinion regarding the future prices of copper, in particular considering governments increased planned spending on infrastructure.
Thanks!
Q: You have commented on NCU sporadically, is this a viable company with potential long term upside(assuming copper steady or continues bull run)? When will it see positive cash flow. How do you compare it to Amerigo. Would you be buyers of one or both. High risk/High reward.
Q: I am considering buying a small basket of jr. copper producers. This is based on the recovery of copper prices up to the $3.50 to 4.00 dollar level in the next 2 years. Would you buy any of the aforementioned stocks and in what order?
Thanks
