Q: It looks like there's some mean reversion going on today with some of the tech names that saw big spikes of the last few months. Any names you'd pick up today, or would you wait to see how this shakes out over the next little while?

Q: Hi 5i,
I have half positions in: KXS, DSG, LSPD, DOCU and full positions in MSFT and NVDA. Do you attribute the current sell off in tech names to profit taking and sector rotation (possibly to financials)? Of my four half positions; which two names do you think would be the best to add more shortly in this selloff for a long term perspective?
Thank you!
Terry

Q: Morning 5i,
I'm looking to get my US allocation in my portfolio up to ~40% in the Healthcare, Industrials, and Tech sectors. I have a VERY long time frame, but I'm interested in businesses that have aggressive/high growth in the IMMEDIATE to 2 year timeframe.

Could you please rank the names below in terms of highest short-term growth potential coming out of a COVID world (reopening, new normal).

And if possible, are there any US names that trump these selections instead? Please take as many question credits as required:

Healthcare: VEEV, AMGN, REGN
Tech: TEAM, TWLO, MSFT, NVDA, AYX, AMZN, GOOG, QCOM, PYPL
Industrials: ROP, RTX

Q: Hello team,

From here on, which one has significantly more growth potential, NET or RPD?

How do you rank them based on their balance sheet, competitive advantage, and management?

Or do you have something better to suggest in tech, with superior balance sheet, management, and growth potential?

Thanks! :)

Q: I am young investor building my first portfolio during these tough times. Having not been through a financial crisis before I am struggling to know how to proceed. Are you still in the camp that the markets are overvalued right now and need to chill? I keep waiting for pull backs but things keep going up (S&P approaching 3000). Do you think a pull back will come?

Related to the above, in your May 5th update you said "in our view, slow buying at good prices continues to be a solid strategy and we think 2020 prices will look attractive in two to three years from now". Looking at some of your favorite US names in recent Q&A (AYX, TEAM, DOCU, etc) they are at highs. How does one determine "good prices" in these situations (e.g., one day pull backs? overall % reduction? buy into momentum and remain optimistic?)?

Thanks for the fantastic service and for educating young investors like myself.

Q: Thank you for your comments on RPD earnings report yesterday. In your response you said "We would not be overly concerned here, though it has slipped some spots on our list of growth companies". Can you let me know what growth companies you have higher up on your list. I am up 20% on RPD and am happy to sell it for something higher up on your list.

Thanks so much for your excellent service.

Q: Hi 5i -- my son (age 26) has recently started working in a well-paying job in the US. He's saving a good portion of his salary and has asked me what he should be investing in. No debt. He's looking to invest for long-term growth for retirement in 40 years or so. About 1/3 of his holdings right now are in Brookfield Asset Management, 1/2 are split between VIG and USMV, and the rest is Berkshire Hathaway and CN for his non-registered accounts. Right now non-registered savings are $75k.
His 401k is separate in Vanguard SP500 index fund. He is a believer in pay yourself first and has been able to save and invest 5,000/month US!

He's looking for good growth stocks or funds that will increase steadily over the long term. He's earning enough now that he doesn't need dividends in the short term but he's not opposed theoretically if everything fits together. Any thoughts on what he should be investing in? Thanks.

I currently have shares in LSPD and RESN and looking to add two more tech oriented names, and can be either US or CAN$. Do you have two growth companies you could suggest to start new positions at current share prices, with the intention for a 5 year min hold?
Thank you

Q: These companies have been doing well lately. When I googled them, each of them all claimed are a cloud communications platform as a service company. I couldn't figure out any differences between them if there are. Could you please help me to understand them? If I pick one to invest, from growth potential perspective, which one you would suggest? From risk/reward perspective, which one do you pick?

Many thinks as always

Q: Good morning 5i,
It is often mentionned that we should buy US stocks to offset the heavy concentration on financial and energy in the Canadian market. What sectors should one concentrate on in the US for this reason? And, in the current environment, is it possible to suggest one or two preferential stocks in each of these sectors?
thanks
