Q: I have been looking for high yield stocks with low volatility, where I am less interested in capital gains. OCS.UN has a 10 per cent yield and a beta of 0.20. It has lost a fair amount since 2015 but seems to have stabilized. I realize that its financials are opaque, but Onex claims that the shares are undervalued. What is your opinon on OCS.UN? Thank you.
Q: This is a high yield fund with not a lot of information on it out there. Is the dividend sustainable? How do the financials look? What are they mostly invested in at this stage? Thanks.
Q: Hi 5I Research team.
I presently own OCS.UN which I believe is a closed end fund. Could you please explain what a closed end fund is? I have held this for about a year and a half and am under water with this fund. Recently the fund has been going up. It pays a 10% dividend which is great. Would you expect this fund to continue to go up. Is the fund tied to the interest rate and would it continue to go up if the interest rate goes up. Thanks for your help
Bob
Q: Can you give me your opinion of the payout ration of the above, safety of the dividend in general and also the sensitivity to interest rate rises in the US? Is this a risky investment or fairly lowish in risk? I can find little information on its holdings but it pays a high dividend that has never been cut. Thanks.
Q: I am wondering if the general share price trajectory for this fund will basically follow high yield indices rather than equity indices? Can this be viewed as a kind of junk bond fund? How sensitive to a rise in interest rates would this be? Trying to understand how this will move in the future, thanks.
