Q: It's time that I trim my above portfolio of 13 oil & gas stocks to sector weighting. Which 6 stocks do you think should be first to be trimmed? Please list the stocks in order from the first to be sold to the sixth. This is for medium risk profile. Also could you list a short reason why you think it should go for each of the six stocks.

Thanks

Q: Given the current circumstances, would you, in an otherwise staid pipeline, bank, insurance company and MAW104-dominated portfolio put up to 5% in one of/a combination of these 3 stocks? How would you rank them, if so?

Q: I have an old small position in Precision Drilling, which I can sell for a tax loss. I have been suffering with this small position so long, now, that I wouldn't like to sell it just when it pops! Any idea what I can watch as indicators regarding where the stock might go in the period of a month? And what would be a suitable placeholder substitute, which might have the same ability to bounce as PD under favourable circumstances?
thanks

Q: What is the outlook for above noted companies in terms of :
1. Balance sheet. Which companies can survive this down turn in the oil patch? ie not go bankrupt. Please add comments and list companies in order.
2. Which companies are hedged and how long do their hedges go and at what prices are they hedged at?

Q: I'm considering a contrarian play on an o&g service company. I understand it may take a number of years but at these prices the right company could be a multi bagger when the sector turns from these very low share prices. A strong balance sheet is key to be able to last however long it takes. I see MCR, TCW, and ESN fitting the bill here, but which one would you invest in? MCR has actually done quite well in the downturn and is up considerably. TCW and ESN are more similarly aligned and have both been beaten up. I'd imagine TCW and ESN would have much more torque than MCR in a recovery, so more value there. Clarke has been a big buyer of TCW at these levels, but MCR has large insider ownership. Which one do you feel is the best choice and why?
