Q: Hi 5i,
Knowing very little about the machinations of the gold market..I bought into WDO back in Aug 2020 close to YTD highs. Currently down close to 40%.

I have read your previous Jan 25 response so realize you see no reason to change course despite the current negative sentiment and analysts downgrades.

My questions is in what time frame and under what conditions would you expect WDO to make a recovery to previous levels or at least reverse current trend? 1 year , 2 years ect..... your best guess is appreciated.;)

Thx
Jim

Q: In the past year, INK Reports show company officer and director insider net selling activity levels for AEM, AGI, PGM and WDO are significantly higher than levels for KL and MMX. I realize there are many reasons why insiders might decide to sell, but is it a red flag for investors when net selling activity reaches the levels exhibited by company officers and directors of AEM, AGI, PGM and WDO?

Q: Hi 5i:

Great advice in2020! Wonderful service. I currently hold KL and ABX at @ 2.5% of portfolio. Looking to add a junior producer to increase my weighting. Which would you prefer from EQX, WDO and BTO and what advantage would it have over the other choices? In addition, having done well with TOU (2%), I would like to add to my gas position. My choice is ARX. Advice or other suggestions please. Existing positions and new purchases would be in TFSA. Please deduct form question credits as appropriate.

To staff and families at 5i - be safe and stay well and thank you.

Tom

Q: Hello Peter,
Do you have a clear favorite between WM and WDO? If Gold rises over the next few months, which of WM or WDO stock would be better correlated and would you expect silver to lag or outperform? And do you have a favorite between FR and MAG? The time frame would be the next 6 months before I review my positions.
Thank you as always for your astute insight.
Regards
Rajiv

Q: When I graph the performance of these four gold miners over a period of three months, six months or year to date, KNT and FVI appear to have performed best. Can I trust Mr Market here? I hold shares in each of these two companies. Should I add to these positions or sell them in preference to MMX and WDO?
If you do not trust what the market seems to be telling me here please explain why.

Q: Hi 5i team, is it too late to enter the gold mine sector? Of the above companies, how will you rank them in terms of growth potential and price appreciation long term? thanks.

Q: Hi 5i Team,

I've held B2 Gold for a long time (like 10 or 12 years) and I am sitting on a 110% gain. It's 1.3% of my total equity portfolio and precious metals and PM equities are about 14% of my total investments today. I'm considering selling my BTO and shifting that over to an existing 2.3% position in FNV that I've also held for a long time to bring that up to 3.6%. I'm also wondering if I should continue to diversify into other possible big gainers like WDO or if I should move this money into other names I already own. I'm curious what you think the best move here is?

For information purposes, my Precious Metals positions include:
- 2.65% AEM (held for years)
- 2.4% PHYS (held for years)
- 2.3% FNV (held for years)
- 1.3% BTO (held for years)
- 1.2% KL (held for years)
- 1.1% FVL (added last Thursday)
- 0.9% WM
- 1.0% MAG
- 1.0% SIL

I'm bullish on precious metals and stocks given the monetization of basically everything and therefore have let this part of the portfolio run past the 10% weighting Iimit I used to have but I'm thinking that this sector should probably not be more than 15% of the portfolio and definitely not 20% of the portfolio.
