Q: In your answer to Judith today, you identified four outstanding Canadian stocks that may develop, over time, to be as good as LMN. Could you identify 4-5 US stocks that have similar characteristics?
Q: These names are common top ten holdings in US small cap growth mutual funds. In your opinion, which of these companies look most attractive to start a long term position today?
Thanks
Q: Have you had time to review the short report from Culper on Xpel. What are your thoughts on their claims and whether this is an opportunity or signs of smoke where there may be more fire? Thx
Q: Do you think there is any truth to the Culper Research report that XPEL's long-time supplier Entrotech has formed a joint venture with PPG, which has integrated protection technology directly into OEM paint?
Q: Hi there, do you think the sell off in XPEL is a buying opportunity? What are your general thoughts on the name and would you rate it a buy, or sell? Thanks!
Q: XPEL missed 4th quarter 02/27/2023. It came in below estimates of .44. 1st quarter 05/09/2023 estimates are lower being .37. What is your opinion on this stock beating expectations this quarter? Thank you. Your advice is appreciated.
Q: Hey Team, thanks for holding strong during this rough time to be a portfolio manager. I have one ticket to add to the above list that didn't show up in your database, its EVVTY (Evolution Gaming) out of Stockholm. Anyway I consider many of these to be high quality compounders, with strong mgmt teams. Could you rank for me which companies you would add to now? Or if anyones you would avoid, let me know. Thx
Q: HI
I have owned Xpel for many years . It has gone up to over $55.00 and has now dropped over 20 % in the the past few days . I also see some insider selling on the stock . What is your opinion on this stock . Should I continue to hold it in my portfolio
Q: From today's Wall street Journal:
Tesla’s 125-fold increase isn’t even the best gain since it listed. That honor, at least among the top 3,000 stocks in the U.S., goes to Xpel Inc., which makes film to protect car paintwork. It was a penny stock with a market value of a bit more than half a million dollars when Tesla came to market, and has since soared almost 170,000%, leaving Tesla in the dust.
I cringe when I read this. I bought 400,000 shares of this company at less than 15 cents in 2011. Just goes to show you, that it never hurts to hold on to some position. Alas I sold after making a 10 bagger.
Q: Hi, can you explain the connection between the Coronavirus and the markets? I’m watching stocks like Photon, Nvidia, and Xpel get hammered (xpel the worst at 12% - I’ve already taken profits so I’m only on house money there at least). I just don’t really understand why people getting sick has such an effect. I’m not trying to be cold, just trying to understand and learn if there’s a way to hedge against it.
Q: Hi,
Where do you see fair value for Xpel? Ive been holding since just under $5 so its been very good in only a few months. I took enough profits around $12 to remove my initial investment, so Im on house money now. I just dont want to watch it drop the way PHO, and NVDA did from their highs where I held on for too long.
