Q: The decline in Chinese stocks is of concern, not only the ones listed that have experienced serious erosion. The stocks do have substance within their immense markets even under the 'political cloud'. Should these stocks be sold and avoided?
Thank you for your analysis, Team!

Q: I need your best suggestion on "international" stocks (holdings). I'm happy to do the homework if you can make some recommendations. I have a decent sized portfolio and a pension, having only minimal international exposure at this time. This is for my RRSP. I have a 17 year investment horizon. Your portfolio tracker suggest 20% so that's 4-6 stocks?

Q: Hi,
Could you comment on my profolio for a 5 year hold? Should I add/remove/replace any of the stocks?
Also, Cathie Wood said she is expecting a drop of the market this year. However I currently have ZERO cash position. Do you think I should trim my profolio to have some cash? If yes how much percent do you recommend?
Thanks!

Q: Hello,
I have been reading about FaaS (function as a service) and from my readings it is predicted this will grow in the next 5-10 years. Which current companies would be ones to invest in now in hopes for growth in the future?

Q: I'm considering buying these two ETFs which will be about 5% of my portfolio in total. Is this too much for emerging market exposure or not enough? The mer for each of them is reasonable but one concern I have is that both have BABA & BABA seems to be out of favour with the Chinese gov't. Is that %age a problem? Has this sector already run too far or does it still have room to grow?
Thanks very much for your advice which has been so helpful during my investment journey. To all the team Happy Holidays.

Q: I believe that with important monetary mass increase in the USA vs China (no increase in China ) , the yuan will rise significantly in the future; if I buy a Chinese stock on US market , will I get the advantage of the exchange rate and of a future strong yuan ? nb:In this sense Chinese bonds could also be promising.. Any general comments on this point of vue also?

Q: Overall happy with my portfolio, shifted some riskier holdings to more largecap/div arristocrat ETFs to ride out the fun so far this year. Wondering if we are getting to good timing for shifting some assets to more aggresive/targeted holdings. I would like to sell some VIG and replace it with something else. Say 2X 2% positions. What 2 holdings would you buy right now in a registered account to replace VIG, or would you justt continue to hold VIG at this time. Only restriction is to not be canadian but could be CAD$ fund or ETF. Some options I am considering are rbf1067 or XEF for 1 position and the other a US or global/china play stock like baba. Looking for momentum upside as compared to VIG.

Q: I hold the above 7 stocks in my RRIF. I have to sell part of one of them soon.
Ignoring sector balance; I am concerned with maximizing long term growth whether it be capital gains, dividends or interest. So I would like to sell the one with the poorest prospects for gains over the next 2-3 years.
I should also note that my largest holding,NVDA, is over 7% of my entire investment holdings. This is a level where I would normally start to trim a bit but it has been on such a tear that I have been reluctant to trim it. And I note that you are still keen on it as a growth stock.
So I am comfortable to leave it alone if you agree.
Which would you suggest be sold?
Thank you

Q: I try to buy best in breed companies or leaders in each sector/industry with the goal of holding for the long term. With the current sell off in high growth tech stocks my buy price alerts in the above companies are starting to get triggered. During times when we get a market sell off or sector rotation, as we may be getting over the next few days or weeks, I like to only buy one or 2 positions per day in order to keep some powder dry if the sell offs continue. If I don't hold positions in any can you rank in order of what you would buy first to last and please feel free to add other companies to this list you feel are good buys. Thanks for all your help.
