Q: Can I please have an updated view of ESP. Last question was in the spring. Is the 18% sustainable for the near future?

Q: I am in a quandary on what to do with esb shares that I have. I don't understand how the underlying stocks have doubled but the unit value of esb has FINALLY gotten up to a point where they are paying $.10 a share. I have no idea why the nav has taken so long to get to over $5.00. I fear that the shares will not hold their value, my cost is $.80, thinking about selling and buying some mid cap oils, like tve or bte, what are your thoughts
Thanks

Q: Enghouse wants to buy esp for $1.57 a share. Today the stock price of esp goes to $1.58. Can you explain why please? Thanks.
Q: Looks like a buyout. Would you sell now or do you think there is a potential for a higher bid? Thank you.
Q: Can you please comment on yesterday's earnings. The team pulled out a small profit for the year. 2017 vs 2016 looks better than comparing 4th quarters. On the call, management suggested there will be a reduction in operational costs of 6M annually or 1.5M a quarter that should begin in Q2.

Q: HI Team,
Just wanted to put ESP on the radar once again.. on Feb 7 they announced a deal with a television provider that has a million+ subscribers. This new contract along with EastLink and the other smaller contract wins, have not yet been adequately reflected in the share price. Penderfund owns 15% of the company. Year end numbers could still be weak, but I think the Outlook is fairly positive given the recent wins. Your updated comments are appreciated.

Q: What do you think of this stock moving forward? They seem to be gaining a bit of traction lately with their SAAS Elevate platform - Announcing a few contracts recently.
What portion of their share price is supported by cash? I'm thinking about putting some speculative money into it. Thanks.

Q: I intend to reduce my equity holdings for two reasons – I need to free up some cash for other projects and, secondly, I am concerned about the current risk in the equity markets and want to discharge an investment loan I have against my house. I am happy with the securities I own and their % in the portfolio. Consequently, my plan is to generally reduce across the board.
I own both ENB and ENF. Should I sell one and keep the other or reduce both?
I also own ESP. It has been a wild ride and I am presently down about 25%. What is your outlook on this stock over the next couple of years? Given my plans for portfolio restructuring should I sell and book the loss or continue to hold?
In the US portion of my portfolio I own GOOGL, AMZN and FB among others. If the market enters a severe correction do you see these as more risky than the US market in general?

Q: Hi Peter,
I have had ESP for 2-3 years and I have seen it as high as $4 when a potential deal with Rogers was in the works. It is currently my largest holding. ESP's last quarter was very positive and gave the price a good bump which has since dwindled. With approximatley $1.15 per share in cash, can we assume 1.5 X cash = $1.72 as a minimum value for this company? This has been the valuation I am basing my decisions on. With the current price approaching $2 a share (my average), I see good potential with manageable risk.
I look forward to your opinion on this one.
