Q: Should I sell my Stella Jones and Logistec stocks in order to purchase Topicus and Goeasy? I have a 10+ year horizon and want to maximize growth.

Q: Would you mind commenting on LGT.B’s 3rd quarter numbers released in early November? There was weakness in “environmental services” segment but otherwise they seemed to have done quite well. They also seemed to be quite positive about the 4th quarter. The stock price has just gone down and, as you have noted, there is not much float. I am thinking of adding to my existing position. ( I got a double on the stock but my weighting is low due to the lack of liquidity).
Thanks,
Jim

Q: For an infrastructure play, which would you prefer or do you have other suggestions? I was considering Brookfield Infrastructure as a one-stop shop but I have reservations about the Brazil exposure. Thanks.

Q: Howdy! The Kiki Delaney chapter in "Market Masters" has inspired me to invest more in Quebec-based equities. I already have BCE, CAE, CNR & GUD. Please rank the top 3 in this list (or other Quebec-based equities that I didn't list) to add right now purely on long-term (3-5 yrs) appreciation (value + dividends).
Thank you,
David L

Q: Good afternoon 5i,

I am wondering what your thoughts are on Logistec. It has come down significant as of late, and looks attractive, to me at least. If my memory serves me well, Mr Hodson has previously given this company a strong endorsement.

Is it a buy at this level, what is its long term outlook. How much insider ownership?

Many thanks,

Karim

Q: In 2016 I had significant realized capital gains as I sold off shares to re-balance my portfolio. Currently I am in a loss position with the above mentioned companies. I was thinking of selling shares in these six companies to help offset the realized capital gains. Which of these shares do you think I should buy back after 30 days to avoid the superficial capital loss? Normally I would not be selling them, but for tax purposes I am contemplating doing so. AAPL makes up a significant part of my Info Technology sector and GILD is my only exposure to the health care sector. If I do not buy back the other four companies it will not impact my asset mix in my portfolio significantly. Is this the right time of year to do tax loss selling for these companies?

Thank you
