Q: Greetings gentlemen

I like very much what is going on with both TOY and ZZZ. Between the two, for a TFSA with a time horizon of 3 - 5 years, which would you prefer? I am retired and have no immediate need to draw on the account. My cash account is where I keep my dividend stocks and safety-oriented investments.

Thanks

Q: So an "A" rated company, MDA, gets kicked out of the Balanced Porfolio for TOY. TOY seems to have public for about a year and looks to be much smaller than MDA. So why do you prefer TOY over NFI? Are you sure TOY should be in the Balanced portfolio - it looks to me to be more a candidate for the Growth portfolio?

Q: My 22 yo son recently opened an RSP. I wish to invest in one stock in his RSP (limited $ at this time - his TFSA is in order). I believe that good companies seldom/never come on sale. Given the concept of capital preservation for RSPs, cannot use cap loss, very long time horizon, etc, I like the 3 companies identified, and am open to others. There is no need to shoot the lights out - slow and steady will win the race.

Can you see any difficulty with any of the 3 companies I have it narrowed down to, and is there one or two others I should consider (don't care for securities like SH in RSP).

Thanks in advance. Bob
