Q: Hi 5i! I'm a middle-aged subscriber that has picked up some of the 5i researched companies - most recently Kinaxis and BNS. I'm slightly overweight Kinaxis and Shopify since I see them as potential growth engines. KXS, TOY, NVDA, SHOP, FB, and BNS are all in my non-reg account. If I need cash this year for personal projects, which companies might you recommend I start selling? Thanks!

Q: All the above is what I have in portfolio with equal weightings. I purchased all stocks 1 year ago. I am down on all except for SHOP and BYD. TOY is Down the most. Do you recommend to sell any of these stocks? What new stock would you recommend to add to a tfsa for growth?
Please deduct credit as you feel appropriate.
Thank you.

Q: I have 59K (38k in TFSA, 21k in Trading account). I am thinking to follow the balanced equity portfolio, so approx. $2250 each name. Time frame is less than 5 years. Two questions: Do you support this idea? If so, which names to purchase in each account? Thanks very much.

Q: Good afternoon, I am looking to add 2 of the above stocks (or others if you recommend?) to a TFSA, I am tech heavy already (FB, AMZN, GOOGL, NFLX, NVDA) I am up on all of those still except NVDA. I own favorites GSY, SIS, PBH, TSGI already at full positions. These chosen stocks are all good companies, which are all down recently with the market pullback, which companies would you add? Thank you!

Q: Hi Peter & 5i team,
These are the current holdings in our grandsons RESP ( age 5). We are adding new money. Could you please give your opinion on our current holdings and what suggestion would you have on acquiring a new stock or alternatively topping up an existing one.
Thank you very much.

Q: Hi 5i:
For this year’s contribution to the grandkids (4&3) RESP I’m considering adding TOY or SIS. One reason I’m leaning towards TOY is that they are always watching PAW Patrol.
I know you look favorable on both companies. Which company would you go with?
Thank you as always for your advice.

Q: I own these three (half positions) and have had TRP for a long time so up about 70% on it and down about 20% on the other two. Would it make any sense to sell TRP and divie the cash proceeds between the other two (TOY and KXS)? I do already own ENB (full position).
Thanks again.

Q: I own full positions in these four holdings, and have to sell two by the end of January - the other two will be held for long term. Please recommend which two you would suggest holding, and which two to sell. I'm not concerned about sector balance for this question. Thanks, Kim

Q: Hi guys,

I look to hold companies that are able to maintain a reasonable ROE despite being debt-free. Some of the companies that I currently hold that meet this criteria are ENGH, TOY, CSU (pretty close), RCH, VCI (very small cap).

Can you suggest 5-10 more debt-free companies that screen well to you guys?

Thanks!

Q: Hi, Thanks for attaching the link to Amazon-Toys media post of Dec 10. Looks like the news did cause some ripples among toy stocks like Hasbro, Mattel and to some extent Spin Master on Dec 10. But as you pointed out, this could be another reason why TOY has been trading down for some time. TOY actually has lost about $15 or over 25-30% since release of last quarterly results. Toys'r us bankruptcy was perceived to be the primary reason for the softness. Holiday season and announcement of some new products has also failed to reverse the precipitous decline of past two months. Now there is this Amazon news to worry about (probably could be more serious one). I know that TOY has somewhat of a distinguished status among toys companies, due to Spin Master's innovation capabilities and high tech and interactive nature of its products. But, in your view, how insulated company will be if Amazon decides to seriously expand in this lucrative market ? TOY has been owned in most of our family accounts, as its been a favourite of yours for a long time and we are happy to see stock has do well over years. But the recent trend with no sign of reversal is concerning, to say the least. Do you see any catalysts and strong reasons to continue to own this co ? Thanks
