Q: What is your favorite gold stock? Looking to invest $100K in Gold Stocks or ETF's. I think that stocks are going to take a much larger drop and I am looking for at least a little bit of stability. I don't hold any gold or precious metals stocks right now. I can handle the risk.
Q: How significant are the actions taken by Kirkland? Would you buy the stock today? Would AEM be a better purchase? Considering the current world situation, does a gold purchase make sense if you have no exposure? Do you have "better" ideas for gold exposure?
- Fortis Inc. (FTS)

- Algonquin Power & Utilities Corp. (AQN)

Q: I'm holding the following since I thought they would be considered safe stocks, however they are going down with all the rest.
1) I made the big mistake that gold miners would actually do well in the current situation, however I know see my mistake that I should have purchased gold directly. Would you, given the situation today, sell the miners and buy gold directly - what has the past crises shown about gold versus gold miners?
2) Do you think the utilities above will stabalize near current levels, or do you see that there will be a reset in all P/E and P/C levels down to lower levels?

Q: I had thought that uncertainty would favour gold stocks, but apparently this is not the case. What is missing to turn this sector around? W/rt KL, what will it take to get past the Detour acquisition?

- Lightspeed Commerce Inc. Subordinate Voting Shares (LSPD)
Q: Hi,
I own these 3 stocks as I am a high growth investor .
The market is up over 5% today while my stocks are either down or up less than 1%. Even some cruise line stocks are up more than the 3 stocks I own.
May I get your opinion on them?
Thank you

Q: I have been holding on to PVG for a few years and now thinking about making a move. Thought production would have improved over the last year....Looking to stay in the sector for diversity. Q: I have about 45000 to invest and am considering setting up my own little Gold Etf ,perhaps of junior miners. This is for a Tax Free account. Does this sound like a reasonable plan and if so which companies would you recommend. I would prefer safe jurisdictions.
Q: Kirkland Lake's quarter looks pretty solid to me and they are raising the dividend and buying back shares and their production guidance looks decent. Any thoughts on why the stock is getting hammered down 5.3% on this news today? Is this a short trying to drive it down on a quarter release or am I misreading the quarter?
Q: Comments on the quarter?
Thanks!
Thanks!
Q: KL reports after close on Feb 19. If one was to start a position, would it be wise to wait for the report before diving in?
Q: In a previous question by another 5i subscriber, you advised that support for this stock would be around $50.00. The stock has broken this support level and continues to drift lower daily.
When looking at a chart of other gold stocks in comparison, it has greatly underperformed.
Do you still have confidence in the management team after the deal with Detour and would you continue holding? It doesn't appear to be a popular decision.
I'm still enjoying a gain of approximately 100% thanks to your recommendation but am unsure of what action to take.
Is there another gold stock that you'd consider swapping it for?
